Good shops

Sunnyside Rd., Chilwell. Milk was in date, but had gone off. The previous owner sold it a few months ago. He had cheaper, but reasonable prices and he stocked it to reflect the varied clientele of this area. It was a friendlier atmosphere, as well.

I wouldn't bother. Used to be a fabulous local shop to grab a few bits at a reasonable price - but everything is so expensive now. Service is poor and the pint of milk I bought yesterday morning was off when I got it home (in date but very much off - so assuming it wasn't stored right)
Such a shame as it was always brilliant shop. We will go elsewhere now.

This used to be the best shop with a community and friendly feel.
New management is terrible. Still have all the previous owners prices on items and when you go to the counter they say oh it?s not that price anymore. We?ll change them to the correct prices! They make prices up as they go along. Utter chaos! Shop used to be busy now always empty.
The owner serves you whilst on the phone in mid conversation, does not put the phone down to acknowledge or interact! No manners!
Such a shame as was my local convenience store, I just go into beeston now.
New stock is terrible, prices are horrible and customer service standard is low!
Sam and the other lovely lady who work there are lovely. Shame the new owners have ruined the place.

Shop looks like it has been bought by someone else and overnight, prices increased for a lot of items from cheese to beer to pop and others. Another upsetting thing is that while a lot of products are price marked ( more expensive) a lot are not and don't have a ticket price on the shelve. Also wife went to shop and was charged extra £1.79 and when she challenged the new shopkeepers the answer was it is only £1.79. Whattttt? Of my money. The friendly local shop atmosphere has changed . Will definitely find another local store to buy convenience items when needed .

Very good, "One stop Shop" for food items, chilled items, magazines, canned goods , bread , and there is a post office inside, and lottery kiosk....I will use this place more often, as post office on Beeston High Road, is useless.....!!

Convenient and professionally run mini-supermarket and post office. I use it to collect Amazon parcels in the main. I have always been dealt with courteously whenever I visit. No car park as such, but you can usually find a space outside the front or in the adjacent side road area.
