Fabulous spot with lots of interesting antiques and salvage. It?s wonderful that the WW2 history has been preserved, even if it means children need to stay away for safety.

Adults with children note - children aren?t allowed here! We?re very into plants and antiques, so whilst passing on holiday we decided to visit. We have 2 very sensible, calm and well behaved little girls, who were stood beside us in the few minutes we were allowed to stay before being hastily approached by the man who works here. He advised us children aren?t allowed, the reason given was: ?it?s too dangerous?.I have to say in the few minutes we were there I didn?t note any obvious dangers? However, if this is a dangerous place maybe the public (of any age) shouldn?t be permitted access? Maybe he could have just advised us to stay clear of the dangers? He came across rather badly to us, did our children really have to be excluded? He suggested we could leave our children in the car (obviously we weren?t going to leave 2 little girls alone in a car park in a remote secluded woodland!) So we had to leave, what a shame! In the few mins we were there I had eyed-up at least one item I was going to purchase, maybe there would have been more? We are very attentive parents and have travelled all over the country to antique shops/fairs, plant nursery?s and salvage yards. Never have we seen such an attitude towards children. We feel it?s unfair that adults with children aren?t welcome here!

Don't miss out on a visit to this place, if only for the fantastic views. It's really different from other retail venues and has a surprising back story. There is a huge range of interesting stock available from fire surrounds, garden statuary, furniture and Oriental rugs to brick a brac. The garden plant area is refreshingly inspiring with a great choice of plants and shrubs etc.Gordon the owner has been in the Antique business for most of his life and is an excellent wealth of knowledge and advice.Highly recommended!

The only antique place open around Wooler on a rainy Tuesday.Set on an old RAF site the area has this spooky feel to it (probably not on a lovely summers day but definitely today). The first room, a large room filled with architectural salvage, paintings, mirrors etc that was a feast for the eyes. The second room set out more like a snug with smaller objects and a log burner in the corner giving a lovely feel and smell to a cold, rainy October day.If you're in the area it's 100% worth a look. I will return.

I visited yesterday under the impression that this business was welcoming, I took my husband and three year old, their website states bring a picnic enjoy the outside space, my little boy was playing in the trees with his dad, he was playing hide and seek with his dad, he was giggling and laughing and having a great time when a man whom I assume is the owner preceeded to yell at my 3 year old to shut up and respect the peace and tranquility of the countryside, which resulted in my son being in floods of tears. Im currently renovating a victorian property and was interested in some of the items in stock but to be honest if rather not give this man my money especially as my child left calling him the scary man. I've since left a review similar to this one on his Facebook page, where he replied and basically insulted me saying he was shocked that I could have found something in his store to be interested in which is presumptuous as he didn't even come out of the plant shed the whole time I was there, except when to yell at my child. Feel free to follow instructions on his website and take a picnic, enjoy the outside just expect to do it in silence. Oh hes also promoting live music on 28th August, not sure how well the wildlife will take to that.....if a happy three year old is a problem for them
