Pleasant staff.
Locals pub, but quiet both times we were in.
Good sized beer garden at the rear of the pub.
Doesn't do food at the moment, hence only 4 stars.
I would definitely come back again.

Well if you?re looking for food, don?t bother they don?t do food apparently. Ordered drinks before advised of this. Even though website says it does and there?s a sign inside which points towards restaurant.
Pub was deserted had to listen to staff and customers swearing like troopers.
Kids were in the pub too at 8:15pm, having to endure the foul language.
Honestly rough as!!
Such a disappointing end to a fantastic weekend away.

We phoned in advance to book a table, BUT, we were told just to turn up, so! when we did at 18.30 hrs IT WAS PACKED, and we were told there was no seating available ???. We could have been warned.

First time in the Angel..what a lovely pub..made me and my dogs welcome and the staff and customers were brilliant..Great pint..highly recommended ?

Called in on a wet and horrible Dec night. Open fire was a welcome sight. Food started at 6pm. Two spicy chicken burgers with one chips to share.All the food was fresh and tasty. Chicken tender in a soft brioche bun with lovely coleslaw and salad. Home cooked chips were lush..£12 + for the two..(Dec 2023)
