Excellent lunch at Castle Brew house, with rather a wait for food to arrive - but it was worth the wait!
Friendly, relaxed atmosphere and dog friendly ( even inside!) if we?ll-behaved.
Definitely recommend the home made soup and stottie!

While visiting Warkworth Castle we found this pub. We expected the usual pub grub but the Castle Brew House has a good choice of meals. The yorkshire puddings are the real thing and the beef pie was the best I have ever eaten, it was absolutely delicious. Don't hesitate to visit this pub, you're in for a treat ?

Had a couple of drinks here sitting outside in the sunshine. Nice views of Warkworth Castle. We often stop off here in the warmer months for a drink or two. We have also had Sunday Lunch here before and it was lovely.

Food mediocre, barman obnoxious and rude!!
Arrived around 2pm and asked if it was still possible to have something to eat, we got as answer "well, the menus are still on the table!". We were made to pay for the (flat) pepsi even before he'd filled our glasses. Even though we'd asked for "coke" he gave us pepsi, although when the next customers asked for coke, he told them rather abruptly they could have a can of coke or draft pepsi.
When ordering a plate of soup he acted slightly confused and corrected us with, you mean a "bowl" of soup.
All in all, a not very pleasant or relaxing experience, barman wasn't trying to be funny, just rude. There were only 2 other tables occupied with couples, one eating, one only with drinks.
A place to avoid!!

Beware of Basil Fawlty the Barman, very Abrupt and insisted on telling customers how busy and overworked he was, ( there were only six people in!) when our food order arrived,( after been corrected on my manners by Basil) however it was perfect and beautifully cooked if a little pricey , so kudos to the chef.
The bar is also very dog friendly so beware if your not a fan.

Awesome pub!
Buckets of atmosphere, great food (the sharing boards are special) and pleasant folk at the bar.
If I lived closer, my dog and I would walk here a lot!

Can't comment on the food as we didn't have any. Lovely place though, friendly, welcoming, clean and inviting. Staff very helpful and nice couple of pints of IPA and cider can't wait to return..

Lovely pub, very clean, staff were friendly and attentive, but the food was absolutely great. 6 adults each with a different meal and everyone commented on how nice the food was. Highly recommend

Called here whilst visiting warkworth it was a rare sunny day so the wife and I sat outside food was plentiful as well as delicious slightly pricey but quality of fare and the view of the castle more than made up for it? Highly recommend.
