Love this place. It's our fourth time here and it's so quirky but welcoming. Each room is different and doesn't disappoint.

This place is some what out of the extraordinary. This converted farmstead has been made into a wonderful B&B with fantastic rooms and glamping huts. Each room is lovingly made pleasent and welcoming. Although it is situated next to the busy A1 it is so peaceful so you will not have any trouble sleeping. The breakfast is of top quality and severed in a converted stable. This place oozes history and you come away feeling relaxed.

So many reviews say it's quirky here - that word isn't enough. Characterful. You can feel the love and passion that has built it. Beautiful gardens. Cosy lounge. History everywhere. Such a relaxed atmosphere. And easy to drive to all the local attractions. It was also full, reflecting the value for money.Wonderful!

Alnwick Lodge is set alongside the A1, within around 2 miles from Alnwick town centre. An extremely quaint, quirky accommodation. Vary from converted shepherd huts, to gypsy waggons. Our room was thd round room, situated up a reasonably accessible stone staircase, with a rope handle. Adequately sized room, beware low ceiling and beams. The shower would be more suitable for the under 5 footers but we managed. The bed was super comfy, if you like squashy mattresses. Lovely breakfast the following morning.Walkability: Public footpaths from the lodge to Shilbottle.

Let?s be clear, this is not a four star hotel. What it is, is a lovely, quirky, family run place with 15 individual, unique rooms, amazing, friendly hosts, and a delicious breakfast. We have stayed twice now, using it as a base to explore the local area. It couldn?t be easier to get to, just outside the town of Alnwick, right on the A1 ( although you would never guess based on the lack of traffic noise).Probably my favourite thing about the place is the sitting room. We were allowed to have breakfast in here because dogs are not allowed in the dining room. This room has arches, low ceilings, sofas and a huge log burner. I keep expecting to turn around and see Bilbo Baggins!

Just got home from a two night stay at Alnwick Lodge: the most beautiful, quirky property with bags of character. The owners were so welcoming and lovely, and we wanted to bring Tigger the friendly cat home with us! Tasty breakfast - my husband is vegan, and the owner bought some soya milk in when we casually mentioned it at check in- which was kind. Just great!

Find Alnwick Lodge at West Cawledge Park and you will find this hidden gem only 7 mins from the city centre.Great romantic getaway, lovely garden, furniture gallery to browse thru and purchase. You can see Peter, the owner, and read about his ongoing project for the place.

Liked this lodge. It was quirky inside and out. Walls were thin so I could hear what the next door occupants were saying. Breakfast was good.

Absolutely outstanding. We wish we could have spent longer here and are definitely coming back. Really cute interesting rooms. Access to a communal sitting room, with sofas, board games and a log fire. We sat for a good few hours in there. Brilliant breakfast and gift shop.Rooms: A small converted animal barns. Really quaint and unusual but fun. There was a rooter in our room so WiFi was top notch.Food & drinks: Great breakfast and they have no problem with you bringing food, snacks and drinks into the lodge and communal areas.
