Haven't been in this pub for about 45 years. Obviously changed a lot and was worth the visit. Lovely friendly staff, food was superb and didn't take long to serve dispite being quite busy. Food is well priced and generous portions. It will not been as long to return. It's geet canny like ???. Many thanks to the staff.

First visit as always looked busy and popular. Very disappointed. Stopped by for lunch - picked a pulled pork wrap and prawn jacket potato.
Firstly we waited almost 40 mins for food to come - bbq pulled pork wrap with no bbq sauce flavour at all. Minimal meat. Tasteless. Had to put my own sauce on.. Prawns were watery tasteless and even the Marie Rose sauce had no flavour. My partner refused to eat them. Staff were friendly and pleasant but Very disappointed. Won?t be returning unfortunately.

Got the beef roast dinner, meat was tender gravy was flavourfull, veg was cooked great not overcooked. Portion wasn't massive but thought it was the right amount for me personally. Definitely recommend will be back mid week as my daughter wanted to make her own pizza, only to be told they do not do it on a Sunday, looking forward to there mid week menu

Visited today with a group of 23, mumix of adults and kids!
The service was excellent, nothing was too much bother and each member of staff were more than happy to help, ordering was made so easy and everyone got their food quickly.
The food itself was once again amazing, so to please 23 people is definitely an achievement!
The beef was cooked to perfection and the gravy was delicious- and servings were plentiful!
The pub itself us one of the most welcoming pubs I've visited, always ready to greet you with a smile and make you feel like an old friend!
Kid-friendliness: The kids had a field day in the outdoor play area.

Dined here a few times recently and the food is quite decent. Good value for money, everything fresh, the sizzling steak is nice, as are the mixed grills, staff are friendly and it?s a very relaxed family atmosphere, children welcome. Could do with a greater selection of beers, but this is not a put down just an observation. Would definitely recommend a visit if you haven?t been before.
