Lovely food £15.50 for cod and chips. Staff lovely. It's our favourite haunt as a treat when we go up there. Fish and chips arent a cheap treat anymore though.

Got 2 haddock and chips, the batter wasn't cooked enough and the chips were a squashed up mess, not cooked enough either. Horrible.

Hard to believe but a seaside fish and chips restaurant/ take away that can?t turn out decent food is what you?ll find here. COD and chips, Plaice and Chips and Pineapple rings and Chips all largely binned. Fish mushy and burnt batter, no where near fresh and as a local it?s disappointing that this is what?s being served up to folk visiting.

Excellent very fresh fish and chips - beautifully cooked flaky haddock and crispy batter and the perfect portion size. My daughter had the halloumi fries, enormous portion, baked beans on the other hand - teeny tiny bowl!

We've ordered takeaway fish & chips from here a few times now, over several years and each time it's been rather disappointing.
We'd assumed from the reviews (and the large queue out the front) that we'd just had bad luck, but after three times, we've had enough and will try somewhere else.
From our last order, the fish was overcooked and hard, the batter was greasy (not at all crispy) and the chips had congealed into a solid, unappealing greasy mass.
Perhaps the quality is better if you eat in, but we would not recommend getting the takeaway.
