We were told that we couldn?t have tap water unless we ordered a drink, despite ordering food. The waitress seemed very unhappy when we questioned this. The head waiter ( or owner) then proceeded to coerce us into buying bottled water. We resisted and probably should have left at this point.
There were several lovely, friendly staff waiting tables: one particular young woman who brought over our tap water and a young man who smiled and waved at our youngest family member. However, our waitress never seemed to forgive us for the earlier challenge regarding the water and was far from friendly.
The food was ok - nothing to write home about! We spent £87 of which £8 was a service charge which ordinarily we would not have begrudged paying. Needless to say, we will be visiting this area again but not this particular restaurant. Sadly, we wouldn't, in all good conscience, recommend it. And I think someone needs a word with our waitress about manners. She really let her team down ?

Services was a shambles, made even worse by the automatic 10% service charge added to the bill. One person serving the whole restaurant who was a nice enough bloke, but we were in there for 2 hours for a basic starters and main meal which wasn?t great at all. Place was quiet too - 3 tables in - food wasn?t good and certainly not for the price which was expensive despite a happy hour - just shy of £100 for three of us. Seemingly no awareness of how long things were taking from the staff as we received no apologies or even an explanation. Given it was so quiet it shouldn?t have taken that long and I say that having been a waiter for nearly 10 years. Overall one of the worst restaurant experiences I?ve had up Seahouses.

We had to wait 20 minutes to be asked for our drinks order and another 5 minutes for our food order. Our starter then took 20 minutes to arrive and our main 40 minutes after that. When our main did arrive it wasn't hot but luke warm. It was very noisy so I couldn't hear what my wife was saying most of the time.

Terrible food and service one of our party if 6 had no starter with rest of us as they had not wrote down and the other didnt get their gluten free option till after we had finished and this had to go back as it was stuck together from microwave. Awful service waited half an hour for 2nd drinks order so had main with no drinks then drinks came wrong. We live in seahouses and will never be back nor recommend to others !

We have been here a couple of times now and both times the food and service has been average. The most recent visit, one of the waiters was trying to tell my friend to have the more expensive wine even when she?d asked for the house white. Then when she was given a glass of red wine, this was met with some resistance and the waiter arguing back what she had ordered. Portions were very small, service was average as we didn?t order huge amounts of food and the food itself was bland. Very disappointing for the price we paid. We won?t be returning.

I love Italian food, so this should have been a great find in Seahouses.
We visit here on a Wednesday evening. Yes, it was the school holidays and the place was fairly busy for a Wednesday, but not full.
But we had booked a table for 5, so all was good.
Service unfortunately was slow from start to finish.
We?d been seated well over 10 mins before we were asked what we?d like to drink.
Our meals came out in reasonable time and the food was pretty good.
However service thereafter was nonexistent.
There was no follow up to ask if our meal was ok, or to get additional drinks.
We had to catch the waiter?s attention to get further drinks.
Then had to catch the waiters attention to get our table cleared.
Then had to catch the waiter?s attention again to see about dessert.
Unfortunately, we felt like we?d been left in a corner.
We then needed to catch the waiter?s attention again to get the bill.
All with significant waiting periods in between.
When the waitress brought the bill and asked if everything had been ok?
I mentioned all the waiting !
In normal circumstances this would have resulted in an ?Oh, I?m sorry to hear that!?
?Please accept our apologies?
But no, the waitress decided to tell me how busy she was, serving ?other? tables !
To which I responded with ?and this is my problem because??
She looked somewhat lost by my response.
Such a shame really, as the restaurant had great potential.
Really need to train staff on customer service.
Clearly I?ll not be returning.

For some reason we didn't book!But 5 of us were warmly welcomed and 5 mins later were sat down at a table x Efficient, professional, friendly staff and lovely food.Relaxed busy atmosphere Just remember to book !Great spot and something different x

A friendly and welcoming restaurant with lots of guests and a pleasant atmosphere. The food was good and the service excellent, but the selection for vegetarians was limited, especially if you're not a fan of mushrooms. The decor needed a bit of TLC, the patina was patchy and well worn on some of the leatherette seating.

Excellent Italian restaurant tucked away on Main Street Seahouses. Great meal, excellent service and atmosphere, very professional service from this restaurant highly recommended.

I was on holiday in June and had a couple of lunchtime meals with my parents here which were fantastic and like going round a friends house for dinner. Couldn't fault the food or the welcoming service. Will definitely go back when I'm lucky enough to be in that part of the country!

Excellent Gluten free Italian Pizza served with Rocket and Parmesan salad along with a lovey White house wine. Quick efficient service and very friendly staff. ..and of course very affordable prices. I would highly recommend it to anyone.
