So good we came twice during our week in Seahouses.
Excellent service in this very busy place.
Food was 1st class.

Whilst staying locally in Seahouses we booked dinner at Black Swan Inn. Fantastic service and fabulous food. Mussels with cider & bacon delicious. Sea food curry was equally good. Great service too so an enjoyable evening all round.

The reviews of this place pretty much matched up to our experience. The food was excellent, the ambiance was great, the table service was very good unfortunately, the speed of service was disappointing. We booked a table for 7.30 and the place was pretty busy, almost full and had to wait nearly an hour for our food. As mentioned, when it came it was delicious, very tasty red thai fish curry, pretty spicy and mussels with chips. Dessert came much quicker but by this time almost 9pm the place was much quieter. It's not the best value in the area with prices being pretty steep compared to others but the quality was very good.

Went for Sunday lunch and although it does say on the menu they serve until it runs out but given they open at 12 and service finishes at 8.30pm you would think that at 4.15 they would still be serving it. Surely that's bad planning.
I'm not sure if they have changed their menu, but the rest of the menu was not great either, so ended up leaving. Not great after all the times we have been in previously. Certainly won't book Sunday lunch in again.

Came here with my friend Barry for the Sunday roast. Now Barry has a roast every Sunday (except for between April and June in 1982 for obvious reasons), so he knows his roasts. He said it was one of the best roasts he has ever had. High praise indeed.

Lovely pub. Sat in the small beer garden with my husband and baby where there was a beautiful flower wall. The service and drinks were gorgeous. The food was lovely but the chips weren't very nice but the fries my husband had were lovely so I asked to swap to them and it wasn't a bother at all staff customer service was excellent and was soon resolved. I must say I think it was just the potatoes that weren't nice, nothing to do with the cooking. We will definitely be back

Cracking dog-friendly pub serving high quality tasty food! We visited at lunchtime as the pub is situated close to Seahouses harbour and was just around the corner from our holiday accommodation. We were seated immediately, even though we hadn't booked in advance. I couldn't fault the service or the food. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The surroundings are very pleasant and enjoyable. The service was swift and all the food was great. Highly recommended and would definitely return ??

Oooh what a disappointment.
We arrived and ordered a beef Sunday roast. Other diners were served before us; by the time our meals arrived 50 minutes after ordering I was very hungry! The roast dinner was cold. The beef was cold, the Yorkshire pudding was cold, everything was cold except the roast potatoes. I could have sent it back but after waiting so long I didn?t. The staff seemed very surprised that we were not delighted with our food.
All in all a very disappointing meal.
If you have plenty of time and are prepared to send your food back if it comes cold do try this place. If not, go somewhere that knows how to serve a good hot Sunday roast.

Didn't have a booking so we sat in the charming courtyard. Really delicious food with a lovely attention to detail. Although the big stars on the menu are the fish, I had Northumberland venison and it was excellent!

Nice gastro pub that sells great food, monk fish was excellent. Portions are large and well presented. Also has a good selection of beer, wines and cocktails. Staff were friendly, polite and attentative.

I thought that the taste of the oysters couldn't be outdone. Then along came Terri! Her level of service, her knowledge of the food and wine menu and her genuine warmth.
I'll come again for the oysters, but only if they're served by Terri xx
