It is what it is.
I read some of the reviews where folk complained it was a bit outdoor ISH and the floor wasn't very clean, breaking news, it's predominantly walkers, dog walkers and cyclists.
Proper home made on the premises food, coffee was good and it's got a lovely spot right next to the bridge.

People and dog friendly cafe. Great home cooked food and cakes ? nice friendly service for a reasonable price.

Lovely find . It?s for walkers and cyclists so the floor is understandably a bit muddy !
The decor is nice and cosy . I had an amazing cheese and onion scone with generous amount of butter supplied .
I do agree with some of the reviews that the tables could be wiped down but I arrived at a very busy time

Love the scones and coffee after our dog walks.

The food is pretty good, had a nice sausage sandwich, but the drinks were very average, had a hot choc and a mocha, the hot choc just wasn't great, far too weak (which made the mocha very average). Great service, lovely staff, clean,

I have a very minor criticism: please use tongs when picking up the cakes and not with bare hands. I got a thumb print in my chocolate cake ?

Fabulous home cooked food, what a cracking surprise. I defy anybody to scoff the scones quickly - huge.

? Family Friendly
? Dog Friendly
? NOT LGBQTIA+ Friendly
? Not Vegan Friendly
? Not suitable for noise sensitivity
? Accessible toilet but not accessible seating/layout
Nice location by the river and park but the staff were cold verging on rude to me and me mam (but chatty with other regulars); as per earlier reviews tables were sticky; coffee was ok but no non-dairy milk available; when busy the noise/bouncing was really intense for someone with noise sensitivity; didn't try the food as no vg/plant based options (other than fruit and crisps).
Won't be going back.
Dietary restrictions: No vegan options
No gluten free hot food
Wheelchair accessibility: Ramp to front door but tables and chairs arranged in a way that makes navigation difficult, accessible toilet was being used by everyone so less than ideal.

Buildings looks better in photos, definitely more like a cafeteria than cosy cabin, sticky tables and floors but at least it was dog friendly! Food was awful, egg was over done and crispy. Overloaded with sausage and item was missing. The sausages were massive. Way too much for a sandwich, quality was like rubber, probably why they give out more, definitely a quantity over quality. Coffee was trash! Everything is just cheap. If they bought quality produce and made the portion sizes smaller then they might be able to compete with the others cafes in the area. But for the price and quality of the food and drink you are better off travelling to one of the better ones in the area.

A nice cafe. I had a hot beef sandwich for lunch which was lovely. Reasonably priced and nice staff.
