There's no other way of saying it but the takeaway dishes we received were terrible. Should I say one was really terrible and the other was just bad. It did look a little different from the vast majority of Indian takeaway curries I 'd had previously as there was no oil on top of the curry at all. I know sometimes there can be little and sometime a great deal, but with these two dishes there as nothing. I thought it was maybe an effort for a healthier version. We ordered a vindaloo and at first taste I thought they had sacrificed flavour for strength and tried to make it as hot as possible. Another taste and it soon became apparent that it was just awful and not a proper curry at all. Vindaloos can have a beautiful and very distinctive flavour, just as a madras can, but this tasted of nothing more than water and spice powder, and absolutely no taste of fresh ingredients. You could literally taste the chilli powder mixed with water, and that it had not even been cooked long enough for any chilli powder flavour to 'develop'. It really was disgusting and how this can be served to anybody is beyond me, whether the customer is experienced with Indian food or not. The chicken tika pathia was in a similar vein but not quite as bad. The chicken tika, as it was supposed to be, tasted nothing like chicken tika and had a very weird taste. The meal was packed up in the bags it came in and thrown into the bin. Appalling to call that a vindaloo and sell it.

Had a lovely meal tonight, the Banglar Takari is spiced just right, staff warned that it was spicy when I ordered but it was perfect.Great staff, lovely food, decently priced and a nice atmosphere, what more could you want for a local Indian Restaurant.

We arrived at 6 and really enjoyed are family meal I always find the meat of high quality and service excellent by the time we left the restaurant was getting busy with a good buzz but if you like it a bit quieter go at 6

Visited here last night on my 1st visit with friends. The Decor was nice.. the welcome was warm. Here are my opinions.1. Food was 8/10 = needed more chicken, and their rice portion was good.2. Service was 7/10 = our servers didnt know what food they were serving and had to check with the kitchen as our meals were passed around the table.?3. Atmosphere was 10/10 pleasant a little loud at times as it was full.4. Hygiene was 9/10 toilet area they were good overall.5. Final thoughts was 9/10 would we return- yesParking: As it's situated on a main road with double yellows we had to use the co op car park.

Called in for a takeaway tonight for the first and last time. I have never had such a bland Indian meal, bought 3 mains but am so disappointed. Unfortunately the food doesn't compare to the restaurants in Hexham.

We always get great service from the team here at Aramee the take out is great too. It's always busy here but they normally can fit you in and I think it's good value

The service is good ; however the food is horrible. We took takeaways and it's the spiciest to the death. There is no other test only a mix of chilli powder with water. The chicken pieces were hard as they were over cooked. The mixed veg curry was tasteless..over not recommended if you want to just do a takeout.
