Third time i've visited- the previous occasions have been on a weekday and have been pretty good. On this occasion it seemed that the decision had been made to dispense with table service in the cafe- this was reflected in our experience- 40 mins to get our food and when it arrived it had clearly been sat on the pass for a good while- certainly enough for it to be cold. No server designated to your table = no one looking out for your food or upselling you any additional drinks.
Obviously a very busy place- it felt it, with tables uncleared and staff clearly under a lot of pressure in the dining room- I understand the need to take as much money as possible but if you can't deliver a good experience with consistent (ie hot) food then it's all a bit pointless. A shame because the ingredients are really decent quality and the food is at a reasonable price point

We went for the car show event which was well organised. The farm shop is lovely! Food from the courtyard kitchen is delicious! The farm shop is very reasonably priced, particularly in comparison with others I have been to and I bought some lovely things to take home. Would definitely recommend coming. There is a play barn for the children too which is great! I will definitely come back ??

My favourite dish ever is chicken pie. It?s quite elusive to find a great one after trying almost every pie in the north east, my hunt is finally over Brockbushes chicken and leek pie, truly exceptional.

Friendly chap on the butchers counter and we enjoyed the sausages and bacon we bought to make a cooked breakfast. The scones and ginger cake were also both very good. The pie and fresh cake selection looked good. Husband said there was a good choice of local beers.

Absolutely love this place. Great for the kids to enjoy a day out picking fruits or using the play park. Recently went for the amusements and rides on site. The farm shop is top class and reasonably priced. Support local farmers!!

Lovely day out and even better food :) Sad we just missed strawberry picking season but hopefully we will be back next year for this!

Great looking place but a couple of the staff are quite rude in the restaurant and the outside eating area was full of litter and a bit grubby due to people leaving rubbish on the picnic tables. The lads outside were trying there best to keep it tidy . The sausage roll and pasty we got were really nice. Probably will not go back
