We popped in for some lunch after a walk along the beach ! We had our little dog with us and he was welcomed and made a fuss of by the Hostess . The food was nice , I had a homemade cheese and onion quiche which was really nice .The lady who served us was friendly and polite and we were just left to enjoy our meal .

After walking along the sea front we popped in here for a cuppa. We did sit on the dog friendly side and it was pointed out to us that we could go next door but we've had dogs and didn't mind. It's quite tight with tables and chairs. We ordered omelette and chips and soup. The chips were crinkle cut and hot but greasy. The omelette was very cheesy but didn't look overly appetising. The soup needed to be hotter but I'd already waited 5-10 minutes after the omelette had arrived. The bap served with it was cheap and cheerful. Disintegrated as soon as it was dipped into the soup. A nice chunk of bread would have been so much nicer. My tea was on the cooler side. The cafe needs a little tlc to be honest but we did love some of the original features.I thought it was expensive for what we had.Parking: Parking is by the maritime centre. Ample room.

Visited here today with a friend for lunch having nor been for a number of years. The cafe in its decor is starting to look a little tired and dated. My friend ordered a sandwich with chips and I opted for soup with a cheese score. Sandwich arrived minus chips and my soup with scone and one pat of butter! Requested another but wish I hadn't bothered, though whilst soup was lovely the scone was stodgy and extemely bland. Paid bill which I wish I had queried as believe charged for missing chips. Mediocre affair, I won't be back and must try harder in current times with better competitors available.

Good spot and nice community atmosphere. Food is overpriced (£2.75 for supermarket oven chips), and not very fresh (stale bread, mushy cod). Served hot food at different times to our group. Had to chase up missing items and condiments that had already been requested. Good location let down on quality and service.

Wonderful little restaurant, even though hot food had stopped so the staff could get away for New Year?s Eve. They made the most delicious prawn sandwich. Lovely service and great food.

Called for late brekkie/brunch. Went to counter & asked to go back to table & 'someone' would be across to take order. Left after 25 mins as no-one came. Ladies on next table advised us on our way out that they had same experience. They must have more patience around poor service.. wont revisit?

Lovely hot food, quaint premises, friendly serving staff, only downside was cook barking very loudly at staff, I understand keeping staff informed but the volume needs to be lowered,as it made customers feel uncomfortable.

Awesome experience. Great customer service and great food. Unfortunately I was given a seat next to Brad Thwaightsie so had to listen to his monotone voice for an hour.

Lovely community cafe. Friendly staff. Dog friendly (use the left hand side door for the dog friendly half of the cafe). I had a Xmas sandwich and it was really good. Good prices. The only thing I'd say is that the service is slightly slow, perhaps because the menu is so large. However, I would come again especially as it's a great location, less than 1 minute walk to the beach.

I first went here in 2022 with my wife and our little dog Teddy. We ordered our meal but unfortunately Teddy started having a mild fit. There was only one other customer in the dog friendly area where we was and when Michelle the owner of the restaurant became aware of the situation, she closed the area to the public until he recovered from the fit. Michelle was very helpful and concerned about the situation and this lasted about ten minutes. The meal we had was lovely and we returned a few days later which again was very nice. We went again in May this year and Michelle was very pleased to see us and again the food was excellent and we was very welcomed. I went in November with my daughter because sadly my wife died in September, when we told Michelle she had died, she was visibly upset and really concerned. Again the food we had was really good and I can honestly recommend this place to go and visit. You won?t be disappointed. Thank you Michelle for your kindness. Hope to see you again.
