overly expensive for what it is ... not a garden centre any more it's more like a department store

Nice big well stocked garden centre. I went for breakfast, set off for the cafe, after many ,many miles via every part of the centre, hills and dales, we arrived many hours later. We joined a queue. After 15 minutes it transpired that it was the 'sandwich ' queue, not the hot food queue. We joined the hot food queue. We were now too late for breakfast. Ordered what we could see was ready, in the trays . Paid after joining another queue at the till, where you also order beverages. All very complicated, people jumping from one to another, apologies to each other for ' jumping' etc. Got a flag with a number. Sat at table. 15minutes later the food arrived, despite it already being cooked and visible in trays at the counter. Can't fault the polite staff, but system is shockingly bad when busy, I've been in here on quiet days and it's fine. Open a door at the cafe so you can enter without walking entire centre, and revise the serving system. Nice food though!

The cafe, garden centre were reasonable, quite busy. But the toilets were a disgrace, loo roll all over.the floor you were lucky if they had seen a cloth or mop for atleast a week very dirty and the ONE handdrier had mould growing in it but i was forced to use it as there was no other option.one sink was full of hair, I was very dissapointed. Should atleast have a cleaner every hour or so like other shops etc.

Well located just North of Morpeth on the A697 this garden centre offers a good range of plants and gardening products. There is also a sizable clearance section providing a range of items at a discounted price. The site has good parking available and has a pleasant coffee shop for a quick snack. There is also a restaurant and a cilds soft play area.In addition to gardening products there is a range of general goods and a Waitrose store on site.Fresh fruit and vegetables are available from a stall outside.

Vegetable outlet has reorganised and also covid compliant.Lot of new plants and bulbs arrived, have a carribean tulip, exclusive to dobbies.Nice selection of seasonal plants and shrubs, sale on also.

Arrived today, to find no baby trollys, when I did find one it was jammed in the back behind hundreds of other trollys. I struggled moving trollys to get it free, when I did it was manky. But I didn't have a choice as I have a toddler and a baby in a papoose. Obviously my toddler needed to the toilet while there and I was disgusted, the baby change toilet was so dirty, I would not want to change my babys nappy in there and the ladies toilet was even worse. Wet floors and toilet paper everywhere. No soap and generally dirty, the ones near the soft play are no better either. I'm pretty disappointed and I always think you should judge a eating place by its loos and it put me off eating there.

Staff really need a Customer Service Course. Particularly the young blond lady in her 20's.

I used to adore this place, used to go every month, several times. But I moved away in 2020 and this weekend I was in the area so I visited, and it all seems to have lost its vibe a little..Some areas stank a little (the Semi-Outdoor bit, so just after the main hall but before you go outside), which it never used to do before. Hardly any stone animal ornaments unlike before. Of course due to the season large areas of plants were empty but that was the same before. But the least attractive bit was the building with the shoe shop and restaurant, where the Works has now (since I've been last), moved across to the other side of the path, but where the Range used to be, is now closed off, making it a narrow hallway and just not very appealing.I'm sure it has a reason, and I'm sure the main area and plant section will improve in spring and summer....Still one of my favorite garden centres, but now mostly based on my memories of the place. Therefore 4 stars, not 5
