Great traditional pub. Food was lovely, my husband?s fish pie had loads of fish and was a great size, as was my lasagne.
Service was great, friendly staff and a welcoming atmosphere.
Dog friendly too, with treats available - what?s not to like?!

A perfect example of how doing high quality pub favourites can beat most high end restaurants. The food was delicious, plentiful and served with a smile. Really friendly, welcoming atmosphere in a traditional pub setting. The steak and ale pie was a triumph and the vegetarian menu was very welcome (the ravioli was delicious).

Nice little stop for a traditional Sunday lunch. You may need to book in advance during the height of the holiday season. We were lucky and got a table.

Super west facing terrace & beer garden.... you can sit outside on the beer garden benches heading east if you prefer.
Great food and a host of local beers to try.... don't miss it.

Great little local pub with friendly staff and locals.
Apologies were made when we went in due to maintenance in the kitchen limiting the menu but the selection of about half a dozen mains was great.
The food was lovely, nicely cooked and presented and the portions were substantial.

I found myself staying in Embleton, and was relieved to find this great pub so close to my accommodation. Well presented beer at great prices, and good value food too. Nice mix of young and old people in this traditional village pub.

Just enjoyed Sunday Lunch.. oh my word, absolutely loved it.
Everything cooked to perfection ? staff lovely, chef 'Lucas' delivers tremendous food, locally sourced.. megga Yorkshire Pudding and beautifully prepared and presented.
Really good value ?
Going back for Apple Crumble tomorrow as couldn't fit one in !!

Incredible little pub in a secluded area. Great staff, food and community.
Was a very busy night, we arrived without a booking but they were very kind to fit us in making us aware there would be a wait. Definitely worth the wait.
