Lovely pub, food was great, if a little expensive.
My biggest gripe that I hate, you have to pay to use their car park. That's a big no,no

Nobody mentioned you have to pay to park for the privilege to use the restaurant.

Overpriced tourist trap. They charge for parking in their car park. Food prices are extortionate, £21.50 for an average steak pie! The food was adequate, but not even close to what they were asking for. Lastly, they add an 'optional' service charge onto your receipt even for small parties (there was only me and my partner). So by the end of the meal, I had, had enough and had to endure the awkwardness of requesting the extra charge be removed. This place is a complete cash grab near one of Northumberland's natural gems. Shame on the owners for ripping off tourists.

A great find, very near Sycamore Gap. We bought gin, beer and glasses. Great place to visit.

Couldn't ask for a better meal after a long day's hike.

Loved our stay here in one of the well equipped, comfortable cabins. Food was amazing and the atmosphere in the Inn was welcoming and jolly. Breakfast set us up for another day on the wall.

Worth a visit for the excellent steak and ale pie they make on the premises and serve in the pub at lunchtime. I told the waiter that he needed to tell the chef that if I'd made that pie, I'd be very proud of it.

Great food and excellent beer. Lovely beer garden out back too and the brewery shop lets you take stuff home!

Rang and booked a table within 45 mins even though it was busy when we got there. We decided to sit outside In the sun. Had a nice out door area, spacious with plenty of seats. We went on a Sunday so there was only a sunday dinner menu. I had the beef, plenty food on the plate but there could have been a bit more meat for what I paid for it. Was all really tasty mind. Dog friendly too. Oh and they have fruity cider on tap. Winner winner.

Foods almost as good as the beers. Lovely place is nice and close to drop in from walks.

Stopped in for a late Sunday Lunch on the way home. Enjoyed the small roast option, which was excellent. Love this place.

Overwhelming smell of fish as you walk in. Nice food, beer sales next door. We went in on a Sunday and on a Wednesday late afternoon with no booking, but the staff let us have a table anyway, which is what you should do, especially as we ordered and ate within 45 minutes. Point off is the toddlers and babies whinging and screeching, where we come from, children under 18 aren?t allowed in a pub. Disgusting to see one couple allowing their toddler to stand and sit on the table, staff should have told them off.
