My sister and I visited the Sun Inn on Tuesday for lunch, we had the steak pie and chipsOmg it was out of this world, so tasty. Pastry so soft and packed with delicious meat. Great service and great food.Definitely a good place to eat. We will be back..

Extremely friendly and hardworking hosts!Highly recommend a visit it's in a great location to adventure out from and then you can end the night at this friendly pub before walking upstairs to your room. Breakfast was also very tasty!

It was a very rainy day so we managed to book some ten-pin bowling in Hexham and thought explore Hexham a little (we are on holiday near Amble). We found The Sun Inn that was dog-friendly so thought we?d give it a try for lunch beforehand. We walked in and there was just two or three customers in. However, they were very friendly as was the landlord and the place soon filled up. We ordered drinks and food and were delighted with the food. We all had varying burgers but the chips were fantastic as were all the ingredients. We had one who didn?t want salad with his burger so he got some bacon instead and it was first class as were the burgers and all the ingredients. Fantastic food, good choice of beer and a very friendly welcome. Outstanding! Thank you!

Fantastic food, friendly atmosphere, lovely hosts, reasonably priced. Can?t praise highly enough. New management are making this a place to visit. Would recommend stopping for full breakfast or dinner if you are in the area. Probably best to book and they cater for gluten free!

We had a staycation here, and despite its very basic set up, the inn is cosy, homely and the staff go out of their way to make you feel at home and comfortable! The breakfast was everything a walker/cyclist or runner could want for, hearty, tasty and amazingly part of the price! They have a lovely garden out the back where we enjoyed a bottle of wine as the sun went down, it was peaceful and rustic. Think "Staying at your grannies house" homely, comfortable and cosy. Thanks for a lovely stay!

The stay was beyond comfortable, Excellent hosts you won't get better anywhere else. We arrived late about 10 pm and the hosts were happy to go out of their way and make me some food and make sure my young child was comfortable.Would 5 star recommend it.

Visited for dinner. The owners are new since August and are brilliant. Welcoming and friendly. The Italian food was excellent. I would recommend this to anyone who is in the area. I didn't stay, but certainly would consider it if I was returning to the area.

This pub is Lovely. The owners were very friendly and chatty. The Italian chef was always smiling and the food was beautiful! It has a lovely beer garden. Its a local pub but they welcome visitors no end. Defo recommended! It has 3 TVs and shows sports events too.
