Popped in for quick refreshment stop when on the motorbike. Beer garden was really pleasant and lovely views out the back. Reasonable prices for soft drinks and snacks, highly recommend.

I recently booked the restaurant for a party of 27 to celebrate my mams 70th. From the very first time I spoke to Sam, everything was just perfect. The menus were sent, we pre ordered, on the day I dropped in decorations and a cake, a lovely little table set up for the kids and all the decorations up ready for our arrival. The food was outstanding and every order was correct. I must give a special mention to every single member of staff as the whole team were exceptional. After our beautiful meals we enjoyed drinks in the beer garden and the kids loved the play area. What an absolute Gem this place is and highly recommend. Will certainly be back next time I am in the area. Thank you all again, amazing!!

we visited the Rose and crown while staying at slaley hall. it was my mother's 70th birthday, there was around 30 of us. absolutely nothing was a bother for the staff. everything was perfect and the food was beautiful. thank you soo much for accommodating us. we had a lovely time. Will definitely be back and 100% would recommend

Lovely food, varied menu with lots of choice and great service at this country pub. Obviously newly refurbished. It was quiet when we visited and I thought the restaurant would benefit from some additional soft furnishings or other decorational bits and pieces just to cozy it up a bit but definitely we will be back. Really friendly professional staff. Happy to recommend.
