Fantastic food today for Sunday lunch. Love that the desserts are all homemade and the portions for the Sunday lunch were generous as well as tasty. Possibly a bit understaffed but only noticeable due to having two young children with me! Fantastic place

Had dinner here and it was very nice. Two meals one sausage and mash other Haddock and chips. Sat in restaurant as bar was very busy. Service was fantastic with lovely staff. Food was served in a timely manner and hot and was delicious. Lovely atmosphere.

Food was superb but think we came on a bad night as restaurant was closed and we waited over an hour for our meal, after initially being told 15 minutes. Don't mind waiting but communicate with me and let me know of delays, some people just walked out. Shame as food was superb....when it came!

Popped in for lunch for 3 people with a dog.
The Steak & Ale pie that two of us had and the chicken parmigiana the one person had were all faultless, tasted beautiful and I will definitely come back and recommend to others too.
The young lady who welcomed us in and served us was very friendly, polite and is a credit to the place.
Thank you for a lovely lunch in a friendly and warm pleasant atmosphere.

Was not our first choice for a meal out, only came here as our first choice was fully booked.
But so glad we did go, the food was excellent and the staff very friendly the portions were very large and I surprised myself by eating everything and managed a pudding, will definitely be calling in again

Appalling customer service. I've been coming here over the years - my previous review gave it 5 stars! Since it changed ownership, it's awful. I won't be going back again.

Cycling the Reivers Way it is well placed but expensive and they have outsourced breakfast to a local cafe.
Room was fine.
Dinner was busy. Waited almost an hour for the food to arrive. Quality of food is good. Cheery service.
The kitchen closes at 8pm and the place is deserted soon afterwards
Rooms: Twin room on second floor. Good sized bathroom. Comfortable beds
Food and drinks: Restaurant is busy on a Sunday evening and the kitchen closes at 8pm.
Good menu choices and food quality.

Stopped for lunch after a long walk. A very welcoming atmosphere and pet friendly. Rebecca, (sorry if spelt incorrectly) was attentive and provided an excellent service. The best steak and ale pie ever with fresh veg and chips, highly recommend ?.
Food and drinks: The best steak and ale pie I?ve ever had! Food was fresh and delicious. Lovely pint of IPA too ?
