“The staff work ridiculously hard and smile as best they can through RIDICULOUSLY hard circumstances…..where do we even start???? The layout of the shop is horrendous, too small, no clear queuing system and a load of overpriced tat clogging up the shelves. And don’t even mention “the pillar”, the smell from the old coffee machine or the freezing cold temperatures the staff have to endure!!! They have been short staffed since the dawn of time yet smile and make you feel welcome as best they can when faced with impatient and often rude customers. I’ve seen staff reduced to tears due to the abuse they have to take on a daily basis yet the owner never shows a face to help, deal with disgruntled customers or try and fix his abysmal business…..and so the rants at the customer facing staff escalate. Staff are frequently left alone for full days meaning they have to close to try and simply use the loo or grab some lunch. The way they are spoken to is often absolutely disgusting and yet they work every day for little thanks and still manage a smile. With more and more banks closing and extra courier services now using the post office they seem to be getting busier every day and still receive no help or thanks. Ideal scanario…..owner admits accountability for the farce the business has become, pops along sometimes to give bedraggled staff a hand (or even a day off!) and pulls their bloomin finger out to make the post office what it needs be for a vital town centre amenity! In the mean time, be nice to the lovely counter staff, count to 100 and don’t shoot the messenger! How these guys get up for work every morning I really really don’t know!!!”
“I messaged Neill about some stock cubes I was after and he said he would try and get them for me, he went above and beyond messaging me and keeping me updated on when they would be here and the day they arrived, brilliant service. Nothing was to much trouble for him, would highly recommend”
