We were walking Hadrian's Wall and running very late after a very long day. They kept the kitchen open for us, the food was delicious and good value and the staff were all very friendly. Thank you for staying open for us and maku g the end of the adventure possible!

Great local pub. Good value no frills pub-grub and a pool table for afterwards.
Went for dinner twice while staying in the area there as kids favourite.

Beautiful little pub. Phil and his team really have created such a warm and welcoming atmosphere, it is always a pleasure to come back here. A must stop for anyone who is travelling through the area.

We walked to Hendon on the Wall, took 2 hours mostly uphill, so to find a 'proper' pub was great. We had a bar meal, chicken & chips were delicious and really hot. Apple crumble and custard was to die for. Friendly welcoming staff.

Unfriendly staff. Claimed they did not have a phone and proved very unwilling to help with a taxi situation that needed sorting. Did not order anything as a result.
