Lovely little cafe owners really friendly, food absolutely gorgeous, fresh coffee with free refills. Even got the recipe for one of their delightful cookie bars we really enjoyed it there well worth a visit.

We dropped in on a burger night and were welcomed warmly. Apparently we had missed the initial rush of a summer evening and were therefore served quickly and found a shaded spot outside. We saw several other customers collecting prebooked orders while we were there. Our burgers were beautifully cooked with fresh tasting ingredients. They came with skin-on french fries which were perfectly cooked and delicious. We will be back to this lovely place as soon as we can. Thank you so much.

Hands down the best smash burger I?ve had in Europe. I was staying in Haltwhistle for 2 nights to walk some of Hadrian?s Wall and I thank the burger gods I was there on a Thursday and Friday night to enjoy The Yellow Bird Cafe?s smash burgers. I enjoyed it so much on the Thursday night that I bought another one 30 minutes later (justified it in my head because I knew I was doing a long hike the next day). I was craving their burger during the hike so bought it again for dinner on the Friday night! Trust the reviews, this place is insanely good. Reasonable prices too. Carlos and Nicole are just lovely people which makes it an even more enjoyable experience. Don?t miss out on this if you find yourself in Haltwhistle!

Called in here because our usual place is having a refit...really pleased we did. I am on a low fat diet and usually struggle with menus full of cheese, mayo and red meat. But today I had amoroccan chicken wrap which was one of the tastiest things ive eaten in months. Still full 6 hours later. My partner had a hot sandwich of garlic ckicken, cheese and bacon which was delicious. The free top up of coffee was a welcome addition too.
If you're looking for a vast menu maybe this isn't the place for you but if you want we'll made, unctuous food give them a visit

Oh my goodness,I called in tonight after the Haltwhistle late night shopping,I waited patiently enjoying the chat with various customers,a dog called Nancy and the owners while they prepared a never ending list of orders
what a fantastic taste sensation,made fresh while you wait and served with a fantastic smile,this was more than definitely worth the short wait I had before I headed home to pop open a bottle of wine to accompany my food.

An amazing cafe, I've been 3 times and I will make excuses to come back whenever I can. The Chopped Carnitas sandwich I got was just as good as last time, it easily gets into my top 10 of all time list.
The couple who run it are dead friendly too, gives it a lovely atmosphere.

Easily the best burgers I?ve ever had. Always 10/10. This time somehow they outdid themselves, I had the big mamma jamma, don?t be fooled by the poor photo it was huge, there?s also a beef patty and bacon hidden in there behind the monster slab of fried chicken. Would 100% recommend to anybody, the staff are lovely also, always welcoming and easy to talk to
