We had a lovely Sunday lunch here. My friend said the cauliflower cheese was to die for. The staff were really helpful and attentive. The food was delicious.

Love this place! Such a vibey pub with a great atmosphere, perfect music and excellent food. Service was great, I'm so happy I had a chance to eat and drink here.

We stayed in Haltwhistle for a charity hike along Hadrians Wall and we visited the Black Bull on our first night for a pint or two! The pub is very traditional with stone flag floors and wooden beams on the ceiling. The best part though is how welcoming the landlord Martin and Emma were behind the bar and the locals were a great laugh. It was so good we went back every night during our stay for food and drinks! Next time we visit (hopefully for the bongo bingo) on August bank holiday weekend we will stay at the Black Bull! I can?t recommend this place enough!

Lovely old fashioned pub with excellent food and beer. All the staff are so friendly and welcoming. Really enjoyed our visit and felt like we left as friends. Definitely would come back again asap.

We had a lovely meal, fish and chips, Cumberland sausage and a surf and turf.
The ladies behind the bar were extremely friendly and helpful. We took two dogs and they brought in dog biscuits for both.
They have a good selection of beers, ales etc.
We also ordered puddings which were really nice.
Overall the food was lovely, great service and a nice little pub.
We would definitely visit again.

A great traditional pub in the heart of Haltwhistle, with an open fire and friendly atmosphere.
The home made food was fantastic and very reasonably priced.
The staff were amazing and Martin, the landlord, was extremely helpful and friendly.
Would definitely recommend and we'll be back again soon.

What a fantastic pub! Tucked down a little cobbled road, this is an absolute gem. Wonderful ale selection, roaring fire, very friendly locals and dogs extremely welcome. We had the most lovely afternoon. Just wished we'd booked for Sunday lunch as they looked amazing!

A wonderful Pub where the expert eye for detail includes the bespoke handmade diary (must be worth a fortune!). Well worth a visit.
