Delicious sandwiches. We have used the Gingerbread Cafe for takeaway sandwiches while on holiday. There is a varied selection (but these can be adjusted to suit). The bread is amazing and the sandwiches have lots of filling.

Good food and coffee but took way too long to get served, took 10minutes and I was 4th in line. Need one person on the till and one person making drinks.

Lovely food, but service left a bitter taste
I popped in today to pick up some takeaway food for a family picnic. The food was absolutely delicious with a great variety to choose from?plenty to please everyone, and clearly made with care.
However, I was really put off by the lady serving (who I believe may be the owner). Unfortunately, she came across as quite abrupt and unwelcoming, which took away from what could have been a really pleasant experience.
With so many other places offering both excellent food and friendly service, I?m not sure I?d return. A smile and a bit of warmth go a long way, especially when you?re the face of a business.

Called in today, luckily only had to wait a short time for a table to become available. Had two sandwiches, one brie and cranberry, one corned beef both on malt bread. Excellent food and a lovely cup of breakfast tea. The cakes looked lovely but couldn't fit one in. Highly recommended.

What a great little place. First time visiting on a recommendation.Was busy when we turned up which is always a good sign. Ordered a Ploughman's lunch sandwich on a malted bloomer and I can honestly say it was the best ploughman's sandwich I have ever had! Plenty of homemade cakes/scones too. Pricing was extremely reasonable. Can't wait to go back with family.
Dog friendly overing pup chinos and doggy treats and water. Love this quaint place!

First up, the food was sensational. I don't know where they get their white bloomer bread from but it was amazing. I marked the service down, not because it was bad but because you have long queuing times. This is due to only 1 person running the ordering, making coffees and milkshakes, all time consuming. Looks to be a family business so can't be helped, don't blame them in the current environment of additional costs being forced on employers.

We were recommended the coffee house when we were on holiday looking for a house in October 2021. We have been several times since and can honestly say they do the best sandwiches ever. I have more of a savoury tooth but my husband is sweet toothed. The cakes are delicious and we love the ambience. We visited again yesterday and it was so christmassy. We have booked the festive afternoon tea and can't wait to go and enjoy it.
Support small businesses, especially this one. Pay a visit, you won't be disappointed. ??

Always a fantastic place to stop and have a cuppa and a scone or cake. Always a great taste and without it being expensive. Highly rated. If only they were open more often and longer hours then perfection would be achieved for me.

I?ve been a few times now with a friend and I?m never disappointed. Cosy atmosphere and lovely staff. Very well priced too. Tried the almondies which were fabulous ? Coffee was great too. Just couldn?t fault it for a well priced, lovely local place with great food.

The best sandwich I've ever had the pleasure to eat. It featured thick, crusty bread with a soft interior, filled with tender corned beef, crisp lettuce, and a sweet, tangy caramelized onion chutney. Each bite was a perfect balance of flavors?fresh, hearty, and incredibly satisfying. It was a simple yet unforgettable experience.
