Dog friendly you dont have to sit outside!! We visited today with our 2 dogs, 1 of which is a 6 month old excitable doberman puppy. Lucy has never been to a restaurant before, so wasn't sure how she would react to a new environment. Wow what a fabulous experience, the staff were so welcoming. Made a fuss of our 2 dogs, gave them fresh water and treats. The food was excellent, good size portions. We will be back. Big woods and waggy tails from Jai and Lucy ??

Very friendly and welcoming. Separate bar and dining areas. Felt comfortable arriving after a very wet and soggy walk (and after towel drying the dogs).Food was American style diner menu. Waiting staff were extremely attentive and service was prompt and very friendly.The puppas were even presented with some complementary dog treats at the end of the meal. We will certainly be back.Parking: Parking is £2 for 1 hour or £5 per day but transferable to any of the Kielder car parks. Parking meters are coin only but you can buy parking from the 24 hour reception. Free EV charging also available for 2 cars only (Park up then ask for the activation card at reception)Kid-friendliness: Pool tables, kids soft play area, TVs at each table (which can be switched off on request) and lots of space for running around.Wheelchair accessibility: Restaurant is very wheelchair friendly with ramped access and lots of manoeuvrability between tables.

Expensive food.... not a lot on the plate. Mashed potato tasted like Instant Smash!??? Veg was just hard string beans that had barely seen boiling water. Prifessionally arranged on the plate for quality presentation... much the same as the other over-priced estabishments.

Great food, extremely friendly & helpful staff. We had an issue in our lodge the power went out during the night. We lost a fridge of food, couldn't use any cooking appliances later that morning.As a extremely good gesture the owner of the restaurant offered us free complimentary, dinner x2 drinks & breakfast the following morning.Neither of us complained in favour to get anything like this, we were just happy to get it fixed and we're first offered the reimbursement of our food that had gone off which was fine.So again many thanks to the owner & staff for looking after us it was highly appreciated from us 3.Parking: Parking is paid on site. But free for the guests stayingKid-friendliness: Soft play area & bouncing pillow presumably in warmer months

Nice and clean with great bar service. Their local IPA was very nice too. We didn't eat there but the Sunday lunches looked nice with a massive Yorkshire pudding.

Called in a couple of times whilst staying in the area. Lunch and evening meals , good choice on menu , reasonable prices.Great welcoming staff and service, dog friendly ? lovely views of kielder water .

Shared a meal with the family, 2 kids and my sister's dog. Amazing staff, lovely atmosphere. I couldn't fault the food at all. Even asked about the ice creams (where it was from) and the staff members asked for me. Food 10/10, staff 11/10, atmosphere 10/10. Couldn't ask for anything more. Highly recommend to families, functions, hikers and everyone!

Poor lunch time choice for vegetarians unless you just want chips. There are a couple of vegan options but they contain fake vegan cheese and fake meat both highly over processed junk. Husband asked if they could do just a cheese sandwich, or savoury cheese with proper cheese and they said no. The only reason for the 3 stars is the chips were really nice.

Came here for lunch and was blown away by the quality of the food. I was half expecting the quality to be that of a chain / garden centre, but infact was more like a gastro pub. The staff were very friendly. Would recommend if in the area.

Fabulous food, fabulous view, fabulous friendly staff. Staying in lodges celebrating a special birthday for one of our number. Went for a meal at the Forest Kitchen. Very good night, made special by our attentive waiter Steven. Highly recommend this place.

On our way from Hexham to a place near Hawick, decided to go via Kielder Water and stopped here for a light lunch. Pleasant service, very decent coffees and a shared roast ham egg and chips, perfectly acceptable and good value. Great views over Kielder Water. Next door was a very pleasantly-staffed tourist office; very helpful!
