Our second visit here. A lovely friendly welcome. Attentive service and great food from a comprehensive menu. A real treat. As a bonus, we bought produce from their shop too to take home!

Oh my goodness what a beautiful little cafe with a choice of sitting inside or outside in the lovely garden area. The staff are very sweet and very fast working. Their pie was so delicious and beautifully presented. Their tea was perfect for a rainy day and their cheesecake was so stunning and tasty. Beautiful atmosphere inside especially. The place is very well presented and very clean. Definitely want to visit again. They are very considerate and very kind.

I visited here with 2 friends. We were booked for afternoon tea at 3pm. My friend had checked and was told they were open until 5.30. One of my friends cannot have dairy products and we have eaten at another Running Fox previously without issue but she was told she could only have the vegan afternoon tea. She insisted the waitress check and it turned out that there were other things she could have. I was given only one cup of coffee. I expected a refill but none was forthcoming. The sandwiches were amazing, though one had to be replaced because a request hadn't been passed to the kitchen staff. I had a cheese scone, which was nice, but I'm told the fruit scones were dry. My quiche was delicious but sadly the banoffee pie was disappointing. Mostly cream with little caramel. By 4pm, the staff were cleaning toilets and sweeping up around us and we felt we had to leave. For £26.50 I felt it was poor value with poor service and feeling rushed out. We will stick to other locations of the Running Fox and not return to Longframlington.

Visited yesterday, one of the worst customer experiences ever. Arrived after booking, blanked by numerous staff members. Finally got seated, ordered food/drinks. Chicken & cheese toastie was basically a thick slice of bread, a few slices of processed chicken topped with cheese. £11.95?absolute joke! My partner ordered the afternoon tea. She had to ask 3 times for a plate. We asked for hers to be boxed up so we could leave, we just sorted it out for ourselves. Thankfully we didn?t have to pay a service charge for this shambles. Staff were horrific, food was worse. 100% wouldn?t recommend!

the food is lovely, its a nice little spot. Staff are polite and kind. Very helpful as my partner left his wallet there and they kept it safe for him going for it. highly recommend!

Big and tasty sandwiches/melts.
Looses a star as the menu states they come with crisps however when I asked about the crisps I was told they don't come with them.... probably want to alter the menu to prevent future confusion for others.

The Running Fox ?
This past weekend, we visited The Running Fox for afternoon tea. This chain of bakerys had been on our list of things to do for sooo long, so it was great to finally tick it off!
The Running Fox is famous for its afternoon tea as you can choose from a variety of menu items, so you can have it exactly how you like it. The standard price is £26.50 per person, and in our opinion, it was worth every penny ?
From what was available, we had the following;
? cheese savoury and tuna sandwiches
? corned beef and mince beef pies
? scones with jam and clotted cream
? chocolate fudge cake and strawberry cheesecake
?? all served with unlimited tea or coffee
There's a few different locations in the North East, and we highly recommend you check one out if you're ever in the area!
