Don't book a meal been waiting a hour and staff talking to friends crap service and no one been to me but everyone who has a friend serving gets served rubbish don't book talked to manager was lovely offered me a free drink but all I wanted was a meal and sleep.the young man who was serving me you need more training and keep a eye on people and not you friends giving them free stuff .
Food and drinks: Crap service for food waiting for over a hour for a meal don't go what a load of crap

Noisy worst sleep airport near by windows don't shut properly door let's light in from hallway heating clicks on and off all night and radiator dongs all night long and the beer in the adjacent beefeater is ridiculously expensive

The room is not serviced unless you ask but all very good and enjoying my week stay for business.
Rooms: My room has a small table and chair instead of the desk and seat, so doing a bit of work and preparation in the evening is not so easy as it is in other rooms, still very good and clean and tidy.
Food and drinks: The pub chain next door is good.and the staff are very friendly and helpful, very good but it is the classic chain menu, but very tasty and well presented food.

Not the best Premier inn ive been to. Well actually think its the worst. Rooms only cleaned if requested and then they dont tidy up, just replace the towels. Heating clicks and beeps all night and wakes you up early. Nothing in the surrounding area however the beefeater next door is ok with very friendly staff.

Stayed for one night & found it very comfortable. The staff were very attentive & apologetic about the work being done in the building. However, the renovation work didn't disturb us at all. A great night's sleep & fantastic breakfast the next morning.

Staff lovely at reception, room was very clean and huge comfy bed. However the water pressure was terrible! Couldn?t have a shower, luckily there was a bath.

Do not stay here if you like good wifi. It's non existent here - even the paid option - I couldn't connect at all. I asked about it at reception, friendly service, but they couldn't connect either and couldn't do anything about it except give a voucher code which was basically useless despite the good intentions. Room was nice otherwise but bad wifi in 2024 cannot equal high ratings. Also the one sheet toilet paper is woeful but that's a Premier Inn thing as a whole...you can get a normal toilet roll even in a Travelodge!

I stayed here for the Great North Run. The staff were very helpful and decorated the reception area for the GNR, with information boards regarding public transport to the start line and on the morning of the run they gave water and bananas. They went above and beyond to make the GNR a fabulous experience.
Would definitely stay here again.

On our first night there was no hot water and the room was so hot all night. Even with the windows open and it 10°c outside, our room was 24.5°c all night.
2nd night and the water has been fixed although the pressure is awful and the room is even hotter with no respite. 27°c by morning

Great hotel with on site free parking. It is easy to locate and is near an Asda petrol pump, beefeater and McDonald's. Breakfast can be paid for when booking and takes place in the beefeater.
