Absolutely disgusted with service today. Rude and miserable cashier - no smile or greeting other than a grunt. Told him we were there to pay a funeral bill. No words of condolence/sympathy - he just ushered us into an office (which was a tip) and put on the phone to a different department. He didnt come back to check we were sorted, so we were left to wonder back to the counter when the call finished to be served by an equally rude cashier. Other staff wondering around in trainers (which is now acceptable for bank staff apparently). I havent used a bank branch for a few years, but the drop in standards, at this once respected bank, is sad to see.

Shocking experience in bank today. Went in for a couple of things and was unfortunate to get a female member of staff with attitude. Did I bank on line?... did I know I could do one of the things I wanted at the cash machine? Yes I did, but I also had a query that I needed to speak to someone about. At this point I asked if I was troubling her (I was made to feel as if I was), when she said no, I asked again, are you sure? She tried to change her tone and make small talk after I'd challenged her, but too late... wherever you are, and whoever you are, you do not speak to your customers like that. I am very tempted to report this to someone more senior.

Very disappointing service from this branch. Zero empathy for their customers. Uninterested in resolving the situation, they simply follow a process that creates endless hassle for their customers. A simple phone call to a customer of theirs for c. 30 years would have resolved this issue with the minimum of fuss. God only knows what training their staff get these days but it certainly doesn't appear to include Customer Service.

Had various dealings throughout last couple of years and never had any issues, they actually took a lot of time and effort to sort me a mortgage when no one else could help.

Everybody was lovely except one lady, I ended up leaving after witnessing her ordering people around without manners or cause to do so, proceeded to speak to me like a child so I left. Closing my account and reopening with Barclays manor walks.
