We got an email quote from Tapi?s and everything was going fine. We loved the showroom and decided we were going to get our kitchen floor from here so we went down to the Cramlington branch to finalise the deal. Everything started great when we spoke to the sales advisor, took the measurements off us and told us to choose our selection to get a final price. After we chose the selection we went back to the advisor who in the interim was now dealing with someone else. What annoyed me is what happened next, he said to me ?You?ll need to speak to one of my other colleagues as I?m going to be a while with this customer?. I immediately left. If I am going to be spending more than four figures I at least expect semi-decent customer service and not spoken to like I?m a time waster. I?d rather give my money to a smaller independent firm.

Basically my whole experience with most of tapi cramlington team members has been terrible. Basically they made a error and put the carpet chosen for the stairs in the bedrooms and the bedroom carpet on the stairs. When I informed the fitter they rang the store to discuss the error and the store members were just laughing and carrying on. The carpet fitters were lovely and finished the floor as they were nearly done anyway when this was noticed but realised I hadn't had a call from the store as they originally advised I would. The fitters had to go back to the store and remind them to call me about the error. The warehouse manager finally called me but didn't know how to find a solution as the mangeress was on holiday so he had to keep ringing another store for answers. I had to eventually ask for the other store manager to call me so to find a solution and I believe this one was from a durham store and he was actually helpful in sorting out a solution based on my circumstances and a refund I was able to accept if keeping the carpets the same. My complaint resolution options were limited due to personal reasons. They told me I would get a call to process the refund which I did at a different time to what was initially mentioned, they then said I would get a call once the refund went through to check everything was ok which happened weeks later. I missed this call but got a voicemail asking me to call them back today which I did and they were non the wiser of what I was talking about yet I had the voicemail. I hope the manageress when back off holiday looks at her front of house staff namely john and her warehouse manager ability to deal with complaint handling when she is on holiday again. First and last time I would use tapi. If john was actually smart when I rang back as to the voicemail and didn't push me off telling me I was mistaken even when I have a voicemail from you to call back I would have not left a review since a resolution was found but all he has shown me is its not just a one off mistake your store staff just dont know how to handle customers.

I recently purchased a carpet from the store and cannot recommend the store enough! From start to finish Tara was brilliant! She kept in regular contact with my partner and I throughout the whole process. Her professionalism was unmatched in the store and has really made us feel at ease during the moving process. Well done Tara and Carpetright Cramlington!

Cramlington store didn't have the carpet I required, but Emma went on a mission! She searched all the stores nation wide till she found some and had it delivered to Cramlington for me. All packaged up and ready for collection today. Super good service, thanks
