Had a lovely scone and cream here and met a very kind lady who helped me to find out more about my ancestors who lived and worked in the village by allowing me to access the records kept in the village hall.

Visited here today after a trip on the Heatherslaw Light Railway. What an amazing place, we had a large pot of tea and a Paradise slice cake for my husband and a slice of Lavender cake for myself. Both were absolutely delicious and so good we actually drove back to get some to take home. The atmosphere is delightful, the staff can't do enough for you. I was stung by a wasp on the train and the owner Elaine went out of her way to get me an ice pack to help the discomfort.
It is obvious that they really care about their customers and food.
Big thanks from me!!

A very pleasant cafe in a beautiful village. Bacon and Brie toasties with crisps, millionaire?s shortbread and a pot of excellent tea. The staff were very friendly. Highly recommended.

The vibe of having coffee here is amazing, I greatly enjoyed just being here. Me and my girlfriend got soup of the day, which was tomato basil, and it was absolutely amazing and absolutely hit the spot. If I'm ever back in the area, I'll make sure to stop by

What a delightful little spot! I had the most amazing warm lavender scone, right up there as one of the best scones I've had! Nice coffee and husband had a very tasty sausage sandwich. The staff were efficient and very nice. The little shop is amazing, has SO much lovely food stuff - much of it locally sourced - and beautifully laid out. We bought breads rolls which were light and fluffy and delicious. Absolutely recommended!

On a nice day this is a great place to sit out on the extensive patio area and have a snack.
The menu features a good range of local and home cooked produce, we selected the Bacon and Brie toastie, the Cheese and Roast Ham Toastie and a Cheese Scone with butter.
The Toasties came quite quickly but somehow they forgot to bring the Cheese Scone, by the time it arrived I had drunk my coffee and the grandchildren had finished their Toasties!!

During an Easter break in the area, we called into the Lavendar Tearooms and Village Shop at Etal.
We arrived to a very warm welcome from the owners Rob and Elaine. We found a seat in the corner of thier lovely tearoom and had Coffee and the most wonderful homemade cheese scones.
The owners told us about the Cider brewery at the Castle. After our second coffee we had a walk to the Castle and visited the Brewery, what a beautiful place the stone and woodwork has to be seen. We enjoyed a look around the Castle and headed back to the tearoom.
Couldn't resist calling in again, to find the outside area full of guests, some who had arrived on the steam train from Heather's Law..
we purchased some of the local cider (other half gives it a 10/10), and some of their home made Lavendar Cake..
we gave this 12/10.
Will definitely return on our next visit.. what a gem of a place in a beautiful area.

We stopped off for a cup of tea & scone after visiting the castle. They have a dog menu which is brilliant. The scones were perfect and very reasonably priced.

We stopped here for a very nice pot of tea after a trip on the Heatherslaw light railway and a look round Etal castle.
The food looks good and the tea was excellent....we got 6 cups out of one pot!
Staff are all helpful and friendly.

Great wee place not far from Berwick upon Tweed. Had a piece of the most delicious, home made tea bread. The coffee was one of the nicest I've had in a while. Great service and a real buzz about the place with what I assumed was a mix of local people and tourists. It was very busy despite being mid week in September! Keep up the good work.

Beautiful setting gorgeous village. Beautiful tea room and shop, service very friendly.
Sadly the food let's it down. Garnish was nice and fresh.
Ham egg pie was tasteless and soggy. Bacon and mushroom in the quiche were absent and utterly tasteless. Disappointing

What more could you possibly ask for in a beautifully quaint English village?
Blimey!...I sound American!
After touring this part of my country for a few days we made a point of stopping here...beautiful tea and cake selection...plus teacakes! All was absolutely superb!
Well done to the staff and their bakers! You did us proud!
