Posted a parcel here on 25 July. A birthday gift for our son. Never arrived. Went in to tell them. Post woman said I have to wait 90 days before I can claim. She did not offer me a form to make a claim. Left and went online. Says, have to make a claim WITHIN the first 80 days of posting parcel . After 80 days you can't make a claim. If I listened to her, I would have lost out. Should know how to run a Post Office by now ! So aside from being extremely overpriced in the shop and dangerous parking, they don't know the first thing how to run a post office!

Not a friendly atmosphere, i get the impression as long as you are a daily lorry driver or an old dear living in the village that they cannot be bothered with the general public, or if you go in every day and spend lots of money. The young girl on the Post Office counter was helpful and polite but no smile appeared on her face. I think as well that the women working there generally do not like other women.

This shop has a well earned amazing reputation. Fresh food delicious range fabulous. General stock of household basics that you'd expect from a Village Store. But holds so very much more... crafts, gifts and cards, local produce, home cooked food from baked goods to meals prepared to go. Its always clean and tidy. It's a family run affair, service is always friendly. They get involved with events in the local community as well as doing various fundraising activities themselves each year. Sadly due to covid-19 they lost the tea room, but you can still enjoy the tasty offerings as takeaway. Can't praise them enough. A must if you're in the area.

Have been calling in here for longer than I can remember but have never left a review for it. It's just brilliant. Super-friendly, super-well-stocked, EXCELLENT pies and sandwiches, super-easy to park outside ... Just brilliant. Seems to get everyone piling in, from truck drivers to local farmers and seemingly the entire community.

This is a great little takeaway deli counter. Well stocked and always fresh. Well worth a visit if you passing Cornhill.

Fantastic shop selling pies and sandwiches. All the truck drivers stop on their way through to stock up. It sells everything you could want or need! And the staff are all friendly and helpful. I also found some Hepple gin and Holy Island gin in the shop to buy for friends.

Had 3 days of lunches from Lynda and Julie - far more fun and laughter, coupled with ideal river bank lunches, than any fish caught! Will definitely call back in September! Quiches to die for. Thanks to you all! Yum ! X

Stopped here when passing to get snack for lunch. Really nice deli counter and fresh baps/sandwiches to choose from. Judging by the queue its a little goldmine. Must be good if the locals are using it.

The sandwiches are awful - nothing in them and overpriced. My son got me a turkey roll from here and it was barely buttered on even one side and it had the smallest, thinnest piece of turkey imaginable. I could get 2 packets of the meat down at the next village for less than this abysmal roll. I will not make that mistake again. However my husband and my son rate their cheese pasties and I know my husband takes some into work in Kelso for some of the people he works with who also like them. I have had one and a chicken pie and both were almost cold and I could not eat them. So I don't buy from them at all. There food seems to be almost cold whatever time of day you buy it.

My son and I stopped here for a breakfast-on-the go on Thursday morning en route from Berwick to Carlisle by way of the Borders. What a warm welcome from the two ladies serving in the shop. Delicious sausage barm and coffee served with a delightful smile and saucy question. This place serves a number of purposes: post office, general grocery, food-on-the-go. The many pies and cakes looked sumptuous. Thank you for delivering a great start to our day.
