Asked if they would do a carry out of some chips as heading home to Newcastle which wasn?t a problem for them,Waited a few minutes and only paid £4 pound,large potion of spicy chips ,dip and two poppadoms which were lovely,staff were lovely and polite,definitely worth a visit for a sit down meal.

I regularly visit and am wowed every time. The service is exceptional and the food excellent. It's a beautiful location too, and I love the process where we start by ordering drinks and food at the bar downstairs before moving upstairs to our table when the food is ready. I don't normally leave reviews, but overhearing Daraz politely dealing with a couple of customers who were baffled by this process moved me to do so this time.

Absolutely amazing ! Met at Newcastle train station to read menus and order food such a vast choice ! Offered drinks en route to the Valley restaurant
Food was excellent service brilliant and everything very clean
The 6 of us had a great night out

Great food, awful service. We booked a table for 3 of us for 8 pm, and when we arrived the bar area was packed and so we were asked to take a seat outside with the menus and they'll come and take our drinks order in 5 minutes. After being left unattended for 20 minutes we went inside and managed to grab some seats at the bar and ordered drinks and food and were assured it would only be another 5 minute wait for our actual table. It became in total 90 minutes before we finally got a table to eat food at. The dishes were good, but not worth losing your evening for.

I'D AVOID. Not the fresh food. Naans from Costco and frozen desserts at Valley, but recommend Akbar's which is far better.
Booked a table for 6.45pm with kids and when arrived being held in reception and forcing to have drinks. Not to get messy with the kids, requested to have the table as booked for 6.45, but was held without any info for another 30 minutes.
I was told by staff it was their rule. Mate, I'm not there to eat your rules, but just to pay and have a meal.
Place wasn't even busy and whole floor was empty but they wanted to waste time.
For 7 people they arranged round table and square one which is misaligned and it was a chaos the way staff manage all this, but there are empty table available for all of us.
Finally served desserts to the kids and kids were literally had to stand on the spoon to break a piece of cheesecake as they were frozen. To be honest Akbars is far better than this for an Indian meal.

Wonderful food and very efficient. Genuine authentic dishes with high quality produce.
The only thing to spoil the occasion was I felt like a second class citizen after my husband, and I was the one paying the bill. I asked for water for myself they brought it and served to him even though he didn't even ask for any. There was a female waiter who was almost pushed out of the way by a male waiter i thought that was uncalled for.
The food was delightful though and well worth the visit.
