Food & drinks: Absolutely wonderful place, super helpful staff and food was exceptional. I have food intolerances, which we notified when booking lunch. We arrived to a spe ial menu printed with an amended selection of meals from the main menu, adjusted to help. A truly wonderful experience and we will be back.

Out of this world - literally.Following our Hadrian?s Wall Walk in 2022, we were keen to visit the North East, having been tempted by the views. Inspired by recommendations to visit Blanchland, we trundled off there for a quick peek, and ended up staying several hours in the bar, chatting to the regulars, as though we?d known them for ever. I chose cauliflower fritters, Mr H enjoyed the Ploughman?s - both welcome and tasty.Blanchland has real old world rural charm, with splendid views of the North Pennines as you drop down into the village. We really felt as though we were stepping back in time. The gift shop beckoned, displaying eye catching goodies galore. For once, I was pleased to have no mobile signal which proved to be a welcome escape from modern life, giving time back just to soak in the beauty of the buildings, fresh air, and good company.Be sure to have cash for the Honesty Box at the car park!

Absolutely loved it. The fire was so cosy and they were great with our spaniel. We left a scarf behind and they posted it out to us the next day. Stunning location too

First time stay 17/2/24 in one of the cosy rooms.Room was beautifully decorated, lovely and clean furniture and paint work was immaculate, the bed was really comfortable and luxurious feel to it bedding wise.Everything you need in a room is supplied and the homemade cookies are devine.Although we didn't book in for a meal, we changed our minds and were a accommodated with no trouble at the last minute. The meal was fantastic (Beef wellington) a cut above in quality compared to other places we have stayed and the dining experience was brilliant nice cosy dinning hall, nicely spread out so it feels private. The staff were very attentive in all deparments and couldn't do enough for you.We went for drinks in the bar afterwards which is a lovely relaxed, quirky cellar type vibe to it.Can't speak highly enough of the Lord Crewe Arms and can't wait to stay again.

Just here for dinner. Was great to have a vegan menu that offered choice and creativity. The dishes that were served were delicious, not the cheapest meal, but the quality that you get feels well on the road to Michelin. Helpful and welcoming staff, old school medieval charm. Will definitely be back for those special occasions.

Visited recently on a work trip. Excellent service and great food. Plenty parking, both at the pub and at two sites nearby in the village.

Dropped in during a road trip so definitely a one-off visit sadly. Couldn't tell at first that it was also a bar but the food was absolutely incredible. Despite my probably looking completely lost wondering in the staff were really nice.

Visited for Sunday lunch. Unusual in that your only choice is to have two courses or three, so your starter and dessert will be small portions of three set items. If you like all the items, great. The main course consists of meats (chicken, pork and beef for us) and many vegetables. We enjoyed everything and it was very well cooked. The upstairs dining room has great views. Not cheap but it is worth it.
