Not enough staff at the bar. Always the same, queueing just to get a drink can take up to 20 minutes! What a nightmare. Staff are not the friendliest.

Generally a quiet pub it has an impressive setting as an Art Deco style cinema which has retained many original features including the top balcony and seats. Currently being renovated but you can still eat and drink

Took my mam for breakfast and was stunned with the decor. Table services was good and the food was excellent. Atmosphere was very relaxing and staff were very friendly and helpful.

Came in for a catchup with friends on our only day off ... got here at 11am ordered drinks , food and more drinks ... arranged for family to meet us here at teatime with the kids ... only to be given a reserved sign on our table and to be told we have to leave by 4pm as a party of 20 ppl were coming in !! No ifs no buts and staff member was quite abrupt about it... food itself wasn't bad ... for a change ... normally cold breakfasts but burgers today were nice.

Same standards, this restaurant was a theatre in the past! Lovely features... You have to go and see the toilet's room ! (ladies)

Unassuming from the outside. Housed in an old cinema the inside is great. Plenty of seats, usual good beers and prices. Table service was very good.

Probably my most impressive Spoons. Well done that man (who can shoot himself in the foot occasionally) for rescuing a classic art deco building. Mr Spoon also needs a cheer for cheap food and booze for the people. 2 good guest ales and the regulars. Brilliant carpet. Fabulous attention to the restoration period details. Puts Blyth on the map. Is it in the Camera Heritage guide? If not, it should be.

The food was ok, as you'd expect from a spoons. The service was good.Kid-friendliness: Plenty of highchairs, doodle page and crayons

The standard and quality of the real ales being served has sadly rapidly deteriorated over the last few weeks , used to be really good but are regularly awful now , when returning foul tasting swill to be replaced you are now met with looks of disgust and Some of the worst customer service I have ever experienced as a seasoned real ale drinker .An awful experience ,and the amount of regular faces that no longer frequent the wallaw for it?s real ale is palpable !

Nice food for a low price. But please accept European cards also.

I must commend the staff for their hard work, especially Laura and Rachel. They never stopped , clearing and cleaning tables, collecting glasses and serving food. Also the kitchen staff for their efficiency. It was super to see a great team at work

Attended with work colleague for evening meal. Firstly, the venue is very nicely converted from an old cinema. Ordered food and drink via their app. I ordered a Doom Bar - after a short while, I was told that it was being changed and might be 10 mins - I was happy to wait and ordered a pint of water in the meantime. Then my mixed grill turned up. Sausage, lamb, pork chips and the onion rings were fine. Then we came to the steak and the gammon. Gammon - over half was inedible fat or gristle Steak - 10% was edible meat. The rest was inedible unrendered fat. Waitress was called and after returning to the kitchen with my issues, returned to say that the chef(?) wouldn't be cooking any replacements. Manager called. Explained to her and she also spoke to the chef (?). She told me they wouldn't replace the items as they couldn't guarantee that the replacement would be any better. WTAF?? Who stocks rubbish cuts of meat like that?? I was however, given a refund. Awful food, good beer, nice venue, dodgy chef and/or dodgy purchasing department. Manager very polite but ought to have torn the chef a second one.
