Been to Charltons before and it was great. I came today with my family for Mothers Day. We waited over an hour for food which was much awful. The peas were definitely tinned and the mash was the same i used at home. One of the girls serving was passive aggressive and rude. And before i left i also went to use the bathroom and was greeted with 4 backed up urinals. Definitely wont be back thoroughly disappointed

Proper fish shop chips, tasty as. Some seating outside with the beach less than 2 mins away and plenty of parking

Unfortunately, it took 40 minutes to receive our takeaway order for 3 people. The place was not overly busy. The two people serving could?ve used a more experienced person or adult for help/supervision.

Popped in for coffee as not been in before
If you enjoy a nice coffee don?t bother here
Just hot watery drink with no coffee flavour at all asked staff to check coffee machine which they did ?. Said that?s how it is

Called in today ,bought two "cups of soup" for £9 , they were in take away coffee cups which isnt a problem, I was looking forward to drinking my lovely hot soup, we were lucky if there was 2 inches of soup in each cup, infact there was more air in the cup than soup

I don't like leaving bad reviews, and usually give places the benefit of the doubt but my experience here was awful. We visited the cafe after a trip to the beach. Our order was taken and after 30-40 minutes with no sign of anything coming out of the kitchen, I asked if it would be long and was told 15-20 minutes. After an hour, I asked if the food was being cooked because if not, we would ask for a refund and go elsewhere. I was assured that it was underway. It took an hour and a half for four plates of chips with cod bites to arrive. When my meal was delivered, the pie was ice cold in the middle and it was mince beef and not steak as I asked for. I had to get a refund. Very disappointing. I'm not sure if it was the length of time waiting, but everyone was cold and sitting in coats by the end, so I couldn't even give high marks for a comfortable atmosphere.

Advertise that fish and chips is not served after 4 please. Pretty frustrating driving 15 minutes to find this out when your Google states open until 10pm

Called in for a bite to eat , excellent place , handy for the beach at Cambois , free car park over the road , playground , seating inside and outside there is a snack bar , fish and chips shop and a pub there , well recommend this place ,

This cafe / fish and chips shop is brilliant, the service first class ( not been in the bar/ restaurant) will try soon. I would recommend to anyone who are in the area with out fail
Parking: Parking is available, but on hot sunny day could be more difficult as big beach just across the road

Bought a pint of Carling. It was awful. Took it back swapped no problem for Coors. Barmaid poured that in the sink. Exchanged for Moretti. It was awful too. Won't be buying draught beer in here again!
