Great pub and a great atmosphere.
Staff were friendly and attentive.
It was a very busy day, so service took a while, but that was fine.
Just a real shame about the food.
3 of us had the Fish & Chips.
Unfortunately both the fish & the chunky chips were dripping in grease.
Which way overpowered the flavour of both.
Looked like other diners had the same issue, as we saw many plates go back with wasted food.
The sandwiches were pretty good though.

We called today for lunch while visiting the island. We picked the best time as the inn was quite and we got a seat straight away. Food is lovely with generous portions.

The woman with glasses who works here is indescribably rude. Don't come.

Lovely little pub. Got a table before it stated getting busy and full

We stopped here for food as everywhere else was absolutely packed. We ordered soup, a cola, tea, and sausages with chips. The food was okay ? not bad, but nothing to rave about. I was a bit disappointed when the ?chips? turned out to be thick-cut wedges, but it wasn?t the end of the world.
The pub itself is beautifully decorated and has a lot of character, and the food arrived quickly, which was a plus. Unfortunately, the barman?s attitude really let the place down ? he came across as if he didn?t want to be there at all, everything seemed to be an issue for him. On the flip side, the young waiting staff were lovely and very polite.
The food did the job, but I wouldn?t go out of my way to return.

We love the Ship. The manager Paul is great with us. Always friendly and very helpful. A few real ales. Very nice. The food is always very tasty. Great place to eat and drink.

We stayed one night at the Ship. Staff were friendly and helpful.
The rooms are cosy and clean. Water temperature of the shower fluctuated from hot to cold a bit but didn?t bother us too much. Breakfast in the morning was great and choice of full English breakfast.
We had dinner and it was delicious. Portion sizes are generous. Service is relaxed and homely. Great vibes!

The staff coped well under pressure considering the place was mobbed at lunch time. We were warned there could be a wait for food but the kitchen had it on the table within 12-15 minutes. The owner and waiting staff were helpful and efficient. Despite the rush they cleaned the tables quickly and did not drown under a backlog of orders. None of them could have worked harder. The food was great and this place deserves its obvious popularity!??

If you can beat the crowds, this is a great eating place. Great food, great atmosphere ?

Had a great pint of Bitter on hand pull. Was a hot sunny day in the beer garden. Nothing to fault on this trip.

Busy place not helped by the owner trying to single handly run the bar, food orders, seating arrangements and his staff in one go. Batter on my fish was wetter than the tide coming over a late running car on the causeway. Daft to advertise chips/fries then large wedgies arrive?! On a positive note, the place has a great reference on the wall why a ship is called a 'She'.
