Crown & Anchor is located near the Holy Island castle. Delicious food. Local drinks. Good size room with a view. Staff welcoming and helpful.
You can enjoy lovely walks around not only around the castle. We were fortunate enough to see family of roe deer and many types of birds.
Rooms: Rooms are above the pub but still relatively quiet. Good size room with bathroom including shower. A comfortable mattress so we had a good night's sleep ?
Walkability: Lots of different walks around from visiting local castle to beach walks and nature walk trials.
Food and drinks: Food very tasty. We truly enjoyed fish & chips and delicious cakes. Highly recommended. Booking suggested to ensure you have a table as pub isn't very big but very popular.

One of a kind, nice rooms, great fish and chips, friendly service and stunning views.
Rooms: Clean, comfortable beds, nice bathroom with shower, TV, good WiFi
Nearby activities: Lots of footpaths to walk around island, castle, dunes on the other side and nice sandy beach. Plenty of wildlife, including deer.
Food and drinks: Great fish and chips, one of the best I have ever had.

Lovely pub. We ate here for the 2 nights we were staying on the Island. The food was excellent. The staff were friendly. Would definitely recommend this place

Nice pub on Lindasfarne, very busy so had to sit in the beer garden, location is great with a view to the priory and harbour so good for a quick pint.

Wow, We ate here and expected some decent pub grub. What we got was much more! Service was great and the Halloumi burger was the nicest I have ever had. Fries were a tad crunchy, but other than that the food was perfect. Will definitely visit again and maybe stay over next time.

We only went for dinner and beers in the pub, the staff were very attentive and friendly and the food was great with a couple of vegetarian dishes on the menu (I had the halloumi burger and it was great). Note, you?ll need to book a few nights in advance for evening meal.

We make it a rule never to return to the same place with the exception of The Crown and Anchor on The Holy Isle of Lindisfarne. Beautifully located with a beer garden overlooking the harbour and the castle. The staff are amazing so friendly and obliging. The food is on another level. Gav the chef gets a big cheer!!! Never been disappointed

Every time I go to lindisfarne, I go into this public house, the staff are always polite and friendly, nice and clean premises, the food is amazing, had fish n chips, they were the best I've tasted for years, if you are on lindisfarne, the crown and anchor is well worth a visit, definitely recommend it.

We hadn't booked but they very kindly squeezed us in for a meal. The brisket burger blew my socks off. Absolutely amazing food which is matched only by their excellent service. Would recommend to anyone.

Stopped here for lunch while exploring the Holy Islands today. The pub was very clean and the staff very friendly.
Loved the fact it served food from 11:30 so we did not have to hang about on the island as we finished in the Priory at 11:35 and wanted to maximise our time on the island.
We each had the Crown burger which comes with bacon and cheese as well as chips and a small salad. My son had a kids burger that came with chips.
The menu is slightly limited but the quality of the burger was superb and there was a good selection of drinks on offer.
