What a great night, we popped in here after the waiter at limoncello recommended. We enjoyed a few drinks. My friends and I had great laugh when they bring out the big red button when you buy a drink to generate 1. If you get 10% off 2. If you get it for free 3. You have to pay. Well we got 10% off then the next we got a free round, what a great laugh. Staff were so friendly hi fives all round when we got our free round. Simple customer service bonus. Keep up the good work. The only reason not five stars is the toilet just me being picky I think. ?

Stayed in Berwick upon Tweed for a few nights and found this wonderful pub i have to say the staff were amazing and very friendly cherie who runs this lovely establishment was extremely professional and good hearted she greeted all the customers with a smile and was very polite to one and all .we called in here a few times while we were up here visiting the sites, and each time we were made to feel so very welcome, so a big thanks to all at the brown bear we will return in a few months time to say hello as it was so pleasant to visit ?

The Brown Bear is a great pub in Berwick Upon Tweed, located near to the quayside and serving some great beers it's well worth a visit if you're in the area. The staff are professional and the pub is a relaxing and unpretentious place to grab a drink. If you're in the area I recommend a visit.

Great pub , we went during the day and it was a little quiet and didn?t have food just drinks . Very good selection of drinks but could have done with some alcohol free beers for the driver !
Would like to visit again but in the evening .

I have always enjoyed this pub, but last night we encountered an unexpected situation. My dad was asked to remove his cap by the bouncer, which was surprising since he had worn it inside before we went out for dinner, and there were others seated with their caps on. This inconsistency felt a bit discriminatory, and it left us puzzled about the bouncer's reasoning. After all, it's a casual bar in Berwick-upon-Tweed, not the Balmoral. I hope this can be addressed, as the pub has great potential!

Great pub bags of atmosphere was there Saturday night. Very popular. Prices reasonable. Great crowd in all just having a good night. In again sunday afternoon bit quiet but still good atmosphere. Bar staff very efficient. Well worth a visit.
