Yesterday I went to the Berwick-upon-Tweed store . I went to the till to pay for the pair of Nike I choose . Both me and the sales assistants noticed that the left show had some glue . She went and ask the store manager if she can give me a discount which the manager refused stating that someone would buy it anyways. I bought the shoes and after leaving the store I noticed that also the Nike logo stitches were falling apart??? So my partner went back and asked for a full refund. In all of this the manager never showed her face hiding in a pile of t shirt ( ?)
I am pretty sure there was another pair but she wanted to sell the faulty one all cost and even the sales assistants was super embarrassed. So now I don't have my shoes and I have to wait for the refund to go in when simply the manager could give me another pair.
Totally unhinged behaviour that I am now taking with their head office. Be careful what you buy from this store ..actually, even better : don't buy from this store. I always used to buy from them I will now only buy from the Edinburgh store were the staff are all well adjusted adults with manners and people skills.

Not a single 'please' or 'thank you' throughout the whole visit. Being asked to go to a different till, being told the total cost, paying by card and me explaining that I didn't need a bag (thank you).
Manners cost nothing. Bad training?
I always say please and thank you, both as a customer and working in customer service. Basic manners and politeness are disappearing from retail establishments, particularly amongst most (but not all) younger staff in my experience. Quite sad.

Bought a T-shirt and trainers
Person on the till didn?t know how to add money to pay on the card reader and forgot she put the T-shirt in the shoe box
Awful experience took 25 minutes from being in the queue to walking out the shop

I recently bought some trousers and didn?t realise until I got home they were in a ?two for ...? offer . I went back a couple of days later but didn?t have another pair in my size . I spoke to Larraine who advised they had deliveries Thursdays and Sundays , she would keep check and let me know when they came in . She was very true to her word and messaged me religiously for nearly two weeks with updates on Sunday?s and Thursdays until I got that text yesterday saying they were in !! I work in customer service so can be quite critical . Larraine gave me great customer service and certainly went the extra mile - thank you
