Love this place. Come here in the motor home now and again as it's only an hour away. Great views and a nice little bar as well as a restaurant serving breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Great campsite, tent pitches were spacious and location is lovely. Big fan of just pre paying for a pitch, camping and leaving without needing to bother the owners as stayed in some fussy places. Will stay here again definitely

What a gem of a place. How they manage to put on spectacular sunrises and sunsets I will never know.

Only visited the cafe on a day trip, went inside to check out cakes and was told it was table service so we decided to sit outside. It was not busy, only a few tables occupied. After waiting for 20 minutes we asked if we could order but were completely ignored. Then a server came out, again ignored our request and proceeded to take the order of the table nearby that arrived after us. At that point we got up and left. The only nice thing we can say about our experience was the view. We won?t be back.

Campsite is in a beautiful location. This was our second stay here - the pitches are huge, very well kept, showers and toilets are the best of any campsite we've been to. Only 11 pitches for tents so it's also generally very quiet from 10pm. Great for families therefore, maybe not if you want to stay up late! Loads to do in the local area - 10 minutes from Lindisfarne, 15 from Berwick, 20 from Bamburgh for gorgeous beach. Highly recommend.

We knew the campsite was next to a farm, as stated on their website, but we never expected its activity to affect our stay so much. The campsite is divided into two areas: one further away with better views, and another we called ?the ramp of shame,? which is directly next to the farm/factory.
During our stay, farming machines (tractors and harvesters) worked until 8:30 pm. The noise was annoying, yes, but the real issue was the dust: every time they passed by, a cloud of dust blew straight into the pitches. We traveled in a small campervan, and cooking outside was a nightmare. Everything?table, chairs, kitchen?was covered in dirt. On top of that, the constant smell of manure was unbearable. Our arrival was extremely unpleasant; we honestly couldn?t believe this place was considered suitable for camping.
The most shocking thing was seeing all the campers hiding inside their caravans. What?s the point of going camping if you can?t even sit outside?
We tried to get help at reception, but it was closed. A sign directed us to the restaurant, which was also closed. There was no contact number displayed anywhere, so we searched online and called the number listed on their website? it only went to voicemail.
The next morning, we were woken up at 7:30 am by tractors. Later on, we finally spoke to management, but they were rude and simply told us that their website already mentions they are ?next to a farm.? Meanwhile, the noise and dust continued non-stop.
I honestly don?t understand all the positive reviews. I suspect negative ones get removed somehow. If you?ve been lucky enough to find this review, do yourself a favor and choose another campsite.

Great location, excellent restaurant, great food, restaurant a little expensive. Motorhome pitches very good, gents toilets need some shelves and towel hooks. ?

We booked a 2 night stay at the Barn at Beal Campsite so we could visit Lindisfarne. The site was immaculately kept and ideally positioned for a short trip to the Island and has great views towards Lindisfarne.
The staff were very friendly and helpful and there is a nice restaurant with a good selection of meals to choose from. Sadly the bar is only open in the latter half of the week/weekend so we didn?t get to try that out.
The booking system is very easy and payments made before arrival.
All in all it would be very difficult to find any negatives for the Barn at Beal.
