Not a good experience this morning. Called into Berwick branch in the hope of opening a bank account for my 15 year old daughter who was also in attendance. Waited 5 minutes to actually be noticed and a lady came over and asked how she could help, I explained what we wanted to do, and quite abruptly was told ?we don?t open bank accounts in branch face to face, go home and do it online? I explained that I had looked into this and it appeared easier to do in branch with the ID we had with us. She was having none of it, 5 members of staff standing / sitting doing very little and they couldn?t / wouldn?t assist me in this relatively easy process. So we left. It?s a 25 mile round trip to Berwick for us, upon getting home we began the process of trying to apply online after 5 minutes we discovered that we were indeed correct (see 2 screenshots below) and will need to be seen in branch as when you?re 15 you don?t have utility bills and drivers licenses to prove who you are! So now we need to make the 25 mile round trip again at our inconvenience just because a member of staff ?couldn?t be bothered? to see to our request. I have numerous personal accounts with BOS and 2 business accounts, not impressed at all

I use the Bank of Scotland and have to say that staff at the Bank are very nice, helpful and professional too...they do the best work as they can and they assure that people receive great customer services on spot...they offer wheelchair entrance too and other accessible services which is great ?...would like to thank for great support in Berwick Bank Community.
