We visited the Island on 19th December 2024. We arrived early and we're the first people in for breakfast. We were seated in the front of the cafe but there is more seating available for busier times. We had the breakfast which was very reasonably priced with two slices of toast and plenty of butter. The food was good, not the best we have had but good value for money.

An absolute gem on the Holy Island! We stopped here to grab a sandwich, some cake, and a drink to take with us as we explored the island.
The customer service was excellent, the owner was an absolute delight and super helpful. The food is delicious, and a really good selection too! And on top of all that they sell maps and books of the island as well, it really is a must visit and a one stop shop for everything you need on your island adventures!

We had been on the island 2 days and decided on our last day to come for breakfast.
The service was great and the staff were friendly and polite.
We had the full English breakfast which was very tasty, hash browns were substituted as the delivery was late but that didn?t matter as the food was lovely.
Will definitely check out this place next time we come on to the island.

My wife was snapped at when she inadvertently attempted to place her order at the wrong place and again when she didn?t know the table number - despite the table we were using being clearly visible. From the other reviews here it seems this place has something of an attitude (as well as a signage) problem. We took our custom to the people at the Chare End cafe up the road, who were lovely. We can?t comment on whether the food at the 1st Class Food and Post Office is indeed first class because they don?t seem to understand that you only get one chance to make a good first impression.

Lovely outdoor area to sit and eat. If you?re staying on the island it opens at 9am no matter what the tide time, a great place for coffee and breakfast. The full English is great (not too big but great quality) and the veggie options are great.
Vegetarian options: They do a vegetarian sausage sandwich (can add egg) and a vegetarian full English for breakfast

Lovely lunch crayfish jacket potato gluten-free and dairyfree with a choice of cakes too. Busy and efficient staff took the time to help with dietary requirements which was much appreciated thank you.
