From the second we arrived at reception we received a warm and friendly welcome and this continued throughout our stay and was the same which ever member of staff we had the pleasure of meeting. We were staying for two nights (end of Feb/start of March) in a family room on a deal which gave outstanding value. Our room was huge, clean and comfortable. The bookable pool is a great facility. The location and grounds are lovely. The food is in both the bar and restaurant is excellent. Everything we wanted for a wonderful break, which we needed. Lovely place, lovely people.

Lovely hotel. Staff were accommodating to our baby and the food was excellent. We used the pool which was very nice and the room was very clean.We will definitely return.Rooms: Good spacious rooms

Five star service. From a three star hotel. Dinner and breakfast was lovely. Rather struggled to eat it all. Staff were all very helpfull and attentive. Was there with my dog and stayed in the anex patio doors out to a nice grassy area. Only fault I could pick up on was my shower wasn't the warmest. But that was probally due to me not being able to twizzle a knob. Thanks for a nice stay.

LOVELY MEAL...excellent food actuallyMrs had the homemade onion and cider soup with an apple crouton...Best soup we both ever had hands down.. that's no easy task as we all have had great soups but this was perfect!I had the beautiful prawns to start.spot on garlic butter King prawns.Then came the mains...all the staff were brilliant.. made us feel like family..Vegetable puff pastry with different vegetables of the day..and a sauce of tasty quality the pastry... perfect..I had the pan-fried chicken breast stuffed with cream cheese ham and spinach,wrapped in prosciutto served with dalphinoiuse potatoes.. WOW!!!!!!with a tomato and basil sauce...mmmmm.I'm going back as soon as possible10 out of 10Perfection!!!!!, nothing less was achieved here!!Food & drinks: Great choiceNoteworthy details: Very high ceilingsLarge roomsVery niceRestaurant and rooms wise

Nice hotel and location, very quite.Great food, and nice rooms.Reception staff, Bar staff, Resteraunt staff and Breakfast staff are all a credit to youre hotel.All are pleasant, cheerful ,friendly and helpful.We stayed on Sunday 5th Nov 2023Noteworthy details: Minor issues of maintenance that would make the hotel better.Swimming pool is also great, but walls and room appear damp, would benefit from a paint job.

Staff couldn?t be more pleasant. Room was lovely with an amazing view. Nice little dip in the swimming pool. Food is delicious and not too pricey.Walkability: Very close to Hadrians wall.

Didn't stop so can't comment on the rooms, ate at the restaurant though while we were in the area for the other halfs 50th birthday.Lovely restaurant staff are super friendly, nothing is to much for them if they can help they will.Gorgeous place and the food was exceptional.I had the onion and cider soup with apple crouton, I was a bit dubious about the combination but was blown away by how much it actually worked, one of the best soups I've had out in a while. A guest had actually ordered a portion of it to take on their travels with them they enjoyed it that much. I was tempted to do the same.I followed that with the vegetable puff pasty parcel which was full of flavor and served with veg that was piping hot and nice and tender.
