This is great to stop at if you want a break from driving. Good home cooked food clean and no fuss. Not expensive either. If you want something a bit more up market go to the restaurant.Parking: Electric charge points at garage adjoining.Kid-friendliness: Children welcome.Wheelchair accessibility: Plenty of space not loads of steps to get in.

What a surprise and little gem, in the middle of (almost) nowhere. We stopped off during our drive south for a restroom break, some drinks and dinner. We landed lucky tonight arriving here.Lovely friendly faces met us as we walked through the door, and a modern decor, clean and welcoming bar too.A really great burger and steak and ale pie and I was grateful for the hot pot of tea too.Next door there is a cafe open 24/7 but this pub bar and pub grub was perfect for tonight. And excellent value for the portions and quality, just ££32 for a burger with all the trimmings, steak and ale pie with veg and chunky wedges, a pint of orange/lemonade and pot of tea.Great parking and lots of spaces, the hotel looked nice from the outside.A lovely quiet night tonight but apparently can get quite busy a few evenings too.We have already and will be recommending to family and friends.Thank you for a lovely stop off and dinner.Dietary restrictions: Gluten free options, 2 listed on the menuParking: Easy and lots of parking spacesWheelchair accessibility: Accessible entry/exit and space in the bar and restaurant. Additionally the ladies bathroom is wheelchair accessible except the first door into the bathroom area, someone would need to assist to open that door whilst opening the ladies bathroom door immediately on the right.

Amazing place. We were looking for a place to eat with our dog and The Lodge Bar was the perfect place. Staff so helpful and kind.

Visited while car charging. Good food, served quickly (was very quiet when I visited), but no toilet paper or hand soap in the gents is poor. I will be back, so I'll update if it improves.

Food was ok but for £12 it must be the smallest big breakfast ever. They do present it on a big plate tho. &, they don,t include a drink with it. Sorry to say( in my opinion), it just aint value for money.
Customer service is fabulous and so was the food. Would definitely recommend

We were on a visit to Bamburgh Castle when we hit a massive pothole. Limped back to the Purdy Service Station. No help from the hire car company at all so luckily we found the Purdy Lodge. Whilst Hubbie is trying to get the car sorted, I booked us in for bed, dinner and breakfast. All I can say is what a really lovely stay we had. Room was more that adequate and comfy. Dinner was really lovely, bed great, breakfast really nice. Staff could not have been more helpful and given our circumstances, we really appreciated that they went beyond by offering us to use their landline. Perfect place to visit, stopover on a trip. Highly recommend.
