We ate having a family holiday in Northumberland and I was looking for a place to have a family Sunday lunch, after reading the reviews of the Sunnyhills Bistro I decided it was the place for us ,We arrived for Sunday lunch we were welcomed and we're offered drinks and menus, we ordered food ,what came out was far from what was expected, the meat had been presliced on a machine and cooked to death, and the seasonal vegetables were swede and parsnip ,wrong season and it was all piled on top , with no skills in presentation, my granddaughters meal came out in a soup bowl, so every time she tried to cut her food it tipped over,in all it was very poor for what they were charging we paid over £100 ,when I left and sat in my car I said to myself that was rubbish, I don't recommend Sunnyhills for Sunday lunch.

Great coffee and cheese/fruit scones to die for!

Nice shop and cafe.
Unfortunately, a housing estate has sprung up behind it, spoiling the tranquility of the area.

Such a gorgeous little café and farm shop! We had the Brie and cranberry ciabatta and the Cajun chicken and mango ciabatta with chips ? both were absolutely delicious. The staff were friendly and welcoming, and the café itself was clean and cosy. The farm shop was lovely too, and we were even able to pick up a few bits we needed for camping, which was a bonus. Would definitely recommend!

Selection of items in shop were good and prices reasonable . Food in the restaurant was good and price was on par with other places like it. Staff were helpful and courteous

Originally looking for breakfast and glad I came along this farm shop. Very tasty food and friendly service... The farm shop alone was worth the visit with a butchery and plenty of local variety of food.

It?s not really dog friendly though is it, only one table that allows you to sit inside with your pooch, otherwise it?s outside in all weathers , so be warned , if that table is being used then it?s not dog friendly!!!

Beautiful food spoilt because it was terribly over cooked. The chef should know better.!! I had a Bacon and sausage bap. Unable to eat it, the bacon was so hard i couldn't bite into it and half slipped out onto the floor because it wouldn?t bend! The two sausages again so hard and over cooked even a knife and fork was difficult.
Observed many tables had left over sausages, now I know why!!
My husband had the Scottish breakfast. The overcooked meat he had to scrape the inside out of because the outer surface was so hard, his fried egg was hard too.
Was asked at the till how our meal was so replied it was badly cooked, just got ?sorry about that? as an answer.
Will not be returning.
