Fantastic value for money. Lovely rooms (we stayed in the Green room), very clean and with everything you need. Good location to pretty much everywhere. Our hosts were fabulous, very knowledgeable of the area and nothing was too much trouble. Look forward to coming back again soon.

My wife and I were recommended Market Cross Guest House by a good friend of ours who is very particular about where she stays so we knew it was going to be good .Steve & Amanda are excellent hosts and are very personable to say the least .The breakfasts are outstanding as are the rooms and hospitality . I would give Market Cross 5????? Thx Steve & Amanda

We stayed for 2 nights and were very pleased with the friendly service we received from the owners, could not have been better, on arrival we were shown to our room ,delicious homemade Lemon drizzle cake, locally produced Mead, fresh water, tea coffee etc.all in the room. Lovely selection of toiletries, hairdryer, shoe polish kit, even a sewing kit. Lovely cosy housecoats SPOTLESSLY CLEAN. BEAUTIFULLY FURNISHED AND THE BREAKFAST WAS DELICIOUS

We booked for 3 nights @ easter @ unfortunately we're unable to stay only for 1 night as my partner was unwell we apologised@ the couple understood@ didn't charge us for the extra nights which I appreciated when I booked I spoke directly to the owner@ she said if I booked directly with her it was less than booking.com@ so I did expecting to pay 115 per night as per the website @ i was charged125 also we were in the green room which was the smallest room in the property the bed was a double not per the website @ didn't resemble the photograph on the website there were 2 green chairs certainly not a cream sofa@ the button backs had dust in them I didn't feel comfortable neither did my partner the room was a real letdown to me for the cost@ theshower@ toiletvery small

Stayed here recently and had a great time touring the area. The house is well situated in the village, adjacent to the Market Cross parking area (free).
The hosts are friendly and informative, the ambience is relaxing, the rooms are lovely and well maintained and the breakfasts are superb!
Easy to see why they have AA 5 Stars. Well deserved.

Fabulous room and bathroom - so big you can float in it! All the wonderful touches you would expect from a top class hotel. Fresh cooked, tasty breakfast - caters for special dietary requirements. Amanda and Steve are fantastic hosts. Nothing is too much trouble. Heartily recommend.

We had an absolutely fantastic three night stay at Market Cross Guest House. Everything was perfect: we were greeted with a slice on homemade cake, the room was lovely and spacious with treats such as homemade biscuits provided daily, the breakfast was incredible and Steve and Amanda were the perfect hosts-so friendly and helpful. Couldn't recommend more!

Having just spent 2 night here can honestly say it's a beautiful bed and breakfast. Steve and Amanda are wonderful host very friendly and knowledgeable on the surrounding areas and the breakfast all freshly cooked to order. The room was lovely and spacious and you can tell they take pride in the house. Would highly recommend thank you for a brilliant stay

What a joy to come back to Market Cross! A friendly welcome as always. Our room was comfortable and the homemade cake and biscuits "yummy". The award for breakfasts is more than well deserved, everyone mentions them and rightly so. Roll on our next visit.

6 star BnB!! Lovely building. Large rooms. Big garden. Great breakfast. Attention to detail by the hosts, I feel, is extraordinary. Nice town. Great areas around to visit. Pub next door. Win win all around. Host arrangements for lifts to and from the coast path most welcome.

Amanda & Steve were friendly and made us feel very welcome. The room was delightful and spotlessly clean, with little personal touches that made it special. The homemade food was absolutely delicious and plentiful. What else can I say, except if you have an opportunity to visit this part of the country then make a bee line to stay at Market Cross Guesthouse, Belford

The Market Cross Inn is undoubtedly one of the best bed and breakfast we have ever stayed at infact the best we have ever stayed in.its setting is a beautiful little market new to Bamburgh. Amanda and Steve have a wonderful system that works so well.On arrival you are greeted and welcomed and given a lovely homemade cake.The rooms are clean and have everything you need.Coffee machine, kettle cups and mugs and an array of choices of different teas and coffees and the beautiful home made biscuits these were topped up every day.The shower was good and bed comfotable and TV with Netflix and various other streaming channels. Everything you could think of had put in place by Amanda and Steve even a torch and earplugs in the bedside drawer. Hair dryer, iron, ironing board even a make up cloth.The breakfast was by far the best ever home made granola, muesli, seasonal fruits fresh kippers and home cooked breakfast by Amanda and all served with a smile and good chat by Steve .A lovely couple who were a delight to Chat to eventhough they were busy always found time to chat to all their guests.Overall a wonderful stay and just toaddthe parking is on street but free and we parked easily. We will be back to continue are exploration of Northumberland next year and will definitely stay at the Market Cross Inn.

An outstanding bed and breakfast. Amazing facilities, room and service. Outstanding breakfast. Will be coming back I am sure. Very close to the Lindisfarne causeway and Bamburgh Castle. Close to Seahouses. The homemade jams are a lovely touch and a very tasty way to start the day.

Market Cross is an exceptional bed and breakfast - the nicest place we have ever stayed. Steve and Amanda are incredibly warm and welcoming hosts. The room was beautifully appointed and spotlessly clean, with lovely homemade biscuits left every day. Beds were very comfy and we slept very well in this peaceful home. The breakfast was incredible - all locally sourced ingredients. Steve and Amanda really go the extra mile and it made our stay very special - thank you. We will definitely stay again the next time we visit Northumberland!
