“R Watson is an extremely popular newsagents in Bedlington. It is almost like the heart of Bedlington town commerce wise and has certainly been around for a long time. It has familiar staff who are very helpful and chatty. The shop sells sweets, newspapers, cards, drinks, cigarettes and a few other nick nacks! They do a newspaper delivery service which is reasonably priced and reliable( I get my paper delivery from them). The shop has hardly changed since I was a little girl and that familiarity is a lovely thing to have in a town like Bedlington. This is such a centrally placed shop at the top end of Bedlington in the best location in town. It is popular with the school kids as it is both beside the school bus stand and also on route to several schools. It can therefore get very busy in the mornings! Prices are stabndard prices with some cheap greeting cards available. They do great mix-ups too, although as a grown up I really should curb my sweet tooth - it's a nostalgia thing!”
