Found this place on our last night of our holiday, good atmosphere as soon as you walked in the door ,10 out 10 for the staff and the food and our wee Jack Russell Lexi enjoyed all the treats and fuss from the bar staff.Thank you for the fantastic experience,we'll be back when we're in the area on Holiday again.

I would have definitely paid full price! Everything is home-made or bought in from superb suppliers. I highly recommend going to Lairds House for afternoon tea or no doubt, other delicious treats! ?? Thank you!

Great room location for the slightly disabled? very helpful staff. Prices good. Breakfast good. Free parking nearby, none belonging to the hotel. Would be happy to go back.

We had a lovely meal at Lairds House. We shared a plate of potato skins to start which were delicious and at £5, very good value. The main courses were also lovely and good value for money. In fact every thing on the menu including wine, cocktails etc were very competitively priced. The staff were lovely and when we mentioned it was our wedding anniversary they brought us complimentary glasses of Prosecco.
We will be back!

Review for Sunday Lunch - first time there and won?t be going back.
We were overcharged for our meal (advertised price on the menu was cheaper than the one we paid) - unfortunately we only noticed after we paid. We spoke to the waiter about it, showed him the menu and he acknowledged that the price indeed is wrong. He went to speak to the manager and came back 15 minutes later to tell us that the menu price indeed is wrong and they will change the menus from now on. However they won?t be able to refund or do anything else to rectify the mistake. This was a very poorly handled situation on their behalf that left a bitter taste to our visit.
Overall food quality:
Starters: good
Main: average - the meat portion was small, we had only two undercooked tiny potatoes, veggies were not enough for four people and the lamb was dry and chewy
Dessert: lovely

Nice, friendly place to visit. We were made to feel at home.
We noticed the staff knew their customers on first names. It's dog friendly and has a lovely atmosphere.
The food was great and reasonably priced.

Party of over twenty, had a room to ourselves,and although the Lairds House was very busy, we were treated like royalty. Everyone in the party enjoyed their meal and comented on the quality of the service. Definitely one of the best eateries in the area. 10/10
