There was a bit of a wait (after the Bank Holiday) but I was dealt with expertly and achieved all that I wanted. It's worth going to the help desk first if you haven't got a straightforward cash transaction.

I left a review about the Branch at the Haymarket last week, well today we went to this Branch, what a difference. There was a delay seeing one of the girls at the counter, they did apologise as it was a technical glitch with a computer. Anyway the attitude was miles better and there was no issues sorting out such a simple problem(change of address). Take a leaf out of this branch Haymarket and learn how to deal with customer service.

Brilliant
I went to register my mothers death to discover that my stepsister had changed the address on her ISA to her address in Lancashire before she died. I was trusted by my mother to take care of her, to do all her banking, manage her affairs and did not inform my step sister of my mothers ISA.
Halifax cancelled the account paid me in full and I gave the cheque to our solicitors.
The wonderful staff worked through their lunchtime to help me and make sure my mothers life savings were safe.
Well done Halifax.

Well recommended so helpful and concerned and they waited while I went to Barclays to double check my mothers other account which I had raised concerns to weeks ago was safe, that one is closed and safely in the hands of our solicitor as well.
