Had dinner here tonight the restaurant was quite busy however had to wait 1 hour 45 miniutes to get our main course, despite having a 3 year old with our group and asking for the food to come out pomptly to manage him getting tired and potentially disrupting other diners. All starters were good, however the mains for 2 of our grpup were not up to standard. The dressed crab was 99 percent dark meat and very dry. The mussels were tasty, however the white wine and garlic liquor was way too creamy and made my partner feel umwell. Overall not a very good dinnig experiece. Cant recommed and definatley would not go back.

Absolutely fantastic restaurant.
Wasn?t a planned visit , we thought we would try our luck getting a table as it was very busy.
Success, we got a lovely table on the side street.
My wife had the Fish & Chips, I had the Bass and our son had the kids Pizza.
All the food was exceptional, the staff were brilliantly. Highly recommend this place if you get a chance to visit.

Hi,ate here yesterday afternoon ,been raving about the place to friends we took there,whilst on the whole the food was great,the day was spoilt by a smelly old crab I was offered,it didn't even look fresh,and I have had had crab a lot as a friend of mine scuba dives.
Also service was very slow,and the staff didn't seem that bothered about my gripe,when I went to pay the bill they still charged me for the crab, which I had to tell them,
Spoilt the visit for our friends unfortunately, didn't like eating after my wife and friends had eaten
Won't be back,not cheap either

The is the best restaurant in Amble! The food, service and ambience is second to none. From the minute we walked through the door we were welcomed like old friends (this was our first time) and we really felt that the Staff were going out of their way to ensure our experience was as good as it could possibly be. Thank you for a lovely meal and really looking after us. Highly recommended!??

Fish and chips is amazing. So fresh eat inside or out. I love this restaurant. The food is always good and service very good.

Food was absolutely amazing. My husband is a coeliac and he had fish and chips, they understood cross contamination, had a separate fryer. Staff were fantastic and friendly.

Food and service are fantastic, and the atmosphere is cosy and quiet. Beautiful view on the harbour, perfect for sunset. Would definitely come back.

If you live fish then you'll be in heaven!
We ordered the fish platter for two but it would easily feed 4!!!
In high season you will need to book a table.

Good food, but service is slow at busy times. We waited over an hour for our food. Also, they don't seem to offer specials if you are seated outside.

Had lunch here whilst visiting Amble - it's a nice spot, right on the harbour side. Good local beer on tap, and the food was of good quality and not outrageously priced. The service was excellent.?

Lovely meal here! Mussels in white wine sauce to start were delicious. Staff were very friendly and lovely setting.

Went in for a cup of tea and cake, was waiting to be seated but needed to use the ladies, a member of staff stood in front of the toilets and stretched her arms out either side and wouldn't let me pass, even though my husband was first in queue to be seated, she said until we had ordered I couldn't use the ladies, was very rude. We left and went elsewhere who were extremely busy but had no issues with using their facilities. Would not recommend a visit to this place
